So this is my second grow (scrog) and hopefully a bit more consistent now that I've got the heat and lighting sorted out after much flapping around at various stages of my first attempt!
Tent is a BudBox 75cm x 75cm x 150cm.
This time I am starting from two 4/5 old week clones, one Kalashnikova and one Blue Cheese
I'm using a Vipar V300 for the main horizontal light and beside it a Vipar V240 slighlty angled as in the pic below.
Ventilation is provided by a single 100mm exhaust fan at half speed through a carbon filter with one side panel and two 100mm tent vents open providing passive air intake. All with insect screens too!
Heat is provided by a small oil filled heater during the lights off time.
Standard water pump and air pump in a GT205 tank, I've put a bit of silver/grey reflector on top of the tank this time.
One 6 inch fan circulating the air for now with another being added later on.
Nutes are Vitalink Bloom A and B, Plant Magic+ MagneCal+ and later on I'll be using Buddha's Tree 9/18.
Atm they have 1ml/L MagneCal, 1/3ml/l Vitalink Bloom and the ph is round 5.2 and I'll allow it to rise to around the 6 mark before I lower it again. I'll do this the whole grow to allow the plants to absorb all the nutes.
Water temp is steady at 18c and canopy/tent is around the 27c mark. EC is kept around the 1.2 and will stay there most of the grow, maybe 1.4 if I'm feeling adventurous later
All pics are taken at the same time each day at the end of the 18 hour light period.
Day 2 Been in for a complete cycle now and looking a bit miserable but alive! Kalashnikova is the bushy looking one at the front.
Day 3 Perking up a bit, must be getting used to the change from HPS to LED!
Day 4 Looking a bit droopy, lot of the fan leaves touching the tank lid now on the Kalashnikova but new growth appearing on the top now.
Day 5 New growth is looking great on top so off come the damaged/dead/drooping fan leaves which is all of them!
Day 6 As if by magic they've leapt up overnight and the new leaves are looking really lush, I'll try and remember to take a pic with the lights off. I'll be changing the water day 7 and I'll be flicking them over to 12/12 after a 30 hour dark period day 9.
I had originally intended to get them to 12/12 sooner but I wanted to make sure they were bedded in and what with defoliating them I thought I'd give them a bit more time vegging.
Anway, any questions/suggestions welcome and I'll keep it up to date as often as I can
