Kaia Kush / Blueberry Diesel Grow

Hi all, just wanted to document a grow journal amongst a savvy grow community. Hope you all enjoy and feel free to give feedback on the health of the plants. The two Blueberry Diesel are just starting from clone and the Kaia Kush is approximately 7 weeks old.

Blueberry Diesel from a local dispensary. Here are some pictures. Maybe I could get some help identifying some damage to a fan leaf, looks like some type of bug is getting to my lower leaves.

Hey man thanks for the reply. I think it may be urine from my dog spraying near it. Going to get a barrier up soon. I noticed some bugs have been munching on some fan leaves on the KK a little so I made a garlic onion spray and coated the leaves to see if it helps deter em. I will keep the pics coming- me personally I've never heard of nor smoked a Blueberry Diesel but it does sound delish:-P:-P:-P

The only food they've gotten is a 1/4 teaspoon Miracle Gro Tomato food (18-18-21) with a gallon of water and a separate 1/4 teaspoon w/ gallon water for the BD's. Very light dose just to see how they react. I plan on getting some Fish Emulsion or Fish and Poop for further ferts for a higher N ratio.

*********UPDATE************

Just wanted to give an update. Last week I fed the girls with Monterey Fish and Poop Organic Fertilizer (9-6-2) and they seem to have taken to it well. The KK is entering week 9 of veg and is approximately 24 in. tall and quite bushy. The stems are super thick and hearty and the leaves are a solid dark green. The BBD is entering week 3 of veg and are approximately 5 in. tall. The canopies are starting to fill but the shoots are still trying to develop. I'm waiting a few more days before I tie them down so they can get some height and stem reinforcement before being tied down. I am hoping this will make the BBD more bushy because it looks like its putting most energy into its height as of now.

Just got back from 3-day trip in Humboldt..weather was pretty lousy. I don't think the KK is liking the few days of overcast as she is showing some purple in the ends of her shoots which I'm thinking is from low light stress (preflower). She's still ever so bushy and I think she'll snap out of it with more sun. I also released all of her ties to let her breath and stretch out for a day or two. The BBD has a bunch of growth and the stalks are thickening from all the wind blowing the overcast through. I also have a seedling growing that has just exploded since I left. I feel it's a good time to introduce her into the mix since she looks like a whole new plant =). Not sure on the strain as it was from random seeds from years past but it looks like a pretty strong plant. Posting pics tomorrow. Stay tuned.

The Kush is approaching 36 inches now and about 4 ft in diameter and really vegging nicely. The Blueberry Diesel smells pretty stinky already with just a few preflowers I think she is going to wreak. Their genetics are Blueberry Cheese x Purple Diesel. I did some research on the strains and found out that the Blueberry Cheese was a very dense and resin filled strain but the yield wasn't ideal so it was crossed with the Purple Diesel which has a particularly high yield. At any rate they are growing well with just the added Fish ferts, almost a foot and a half tall (16 in). I will just take one more set of photos before flowering since they won't look much different until they get some flowers on em.

Also I plan on acquiring some bloom nutrients for the flowering stage. I was thinking either FF's Tiger Bloom or Botanicare ProBloom. Anyone side with one or the other and why? I'm not sure which is more organic but I noticed FF has higher NPK levels which means it's stronger i'm assuming. Didn't really get a chance to compare side-by-side but I did notice Botanicare was slightly more expensive. Guy at the hydro store said he uses Pro Bloom with some additives but it can be used outdoors by itself.

put the girl from seed in the ground with the others :blsmoke: Also- this is post-neem oil to try and keep the bugs away. A few Whitefly are around the BBD and I found a tiny caterpillar had burrowed inside some new growth in the KK luckily I saved the leaf in time. I also noticed a spider mite had webbed the stalk where the all the main branches grow from and a dead spider mite so I cleared it all up and hopefully got the eggs with the neem. They all get watered tomorrow with more veg food (probably their last dose).

OK so gave all plants a double dose of veg food and noticed at sun down that preflowers and hairs are really starting to come in so they will start receiving regular feedings of Botanicare Pro Bloom Soil Formula (1-4-5) Aug 1, and molasses will be added as soon as I can buy some from the grocery store =)

Hey thanks for stoppin by. Nah I haven't used Botanicare yet. I'm going to use it for flowering but they just want to keep vegging right now. For veg nutes I just gave em an organic fish and seabird guano fertilizer with NPK of 9-6-2 and tying her down a lot.
