K of light!

hello i got a questi on!i m rdy t buy MH 400w for vegi with 4500 colour temp K and a HPS 400W for flowering with 2000 colour temp K my question is if the THE 4500K for vegi of my MH and 2000K for flowering of HPS is enought to VEGI-FLOWER MY plant.tnh in advance guys.

Enough kelvin? I think you have the terminology. Kelvin is a measure of the lights color output. Lumens is the measure of lights intensity or brightness. And yes, a 400w hid will be enough to veg./flower any number of plants in an area up to 4x4 ft.

400w is enough for apx 8sq ft, you can get several plants in that area.
You'll also need good air flow/vent

so friend as u say i cant use MH400w for vegi and HPS 400wfor flower cause the low k (4500k/2000k)?????may i run only cfls 6400k and 2700k ??? 4500k of a sonlight 400w MH and 2000k of sonlight 400wHPS its not enought (k)s TO VEGI/FLOWER my plant?my english is bad dont use argo plz tnh u friend.

SUNLIGHT registers at 5600 Kelvins - that's always my veg goal. It's 6000k on a cloudy day.
1 hr after SUNrise is around 3400k - that's my flower goal

i m from greece.hey hugo about that delvite said.u think at last that the HPS/MS kit 400W with 5oookand 2000k its not good?do u know were should i find MH400W WITH 6400K and HPS WITH 2700K?i m really comfuzed.

In my case, I'm indoor and space is an issue so the 6500 helps keep stretch down (or so I've learned) so that's part of it too if space is an issue for you.

Από ό, τι έχω διαβάσει, θα πρέπει να είναι ωραία με τα φώτα που έχετε.

Χρησιμοποιώ έναν συνδυασμό των φώτων.
Για το βλαστικό στάδιο μπορώ να χρησιμοποιήσω MH και 3.000 K CFL του.

Για το στάδιο της ανθοφορίας μπορώ να χρησιμοποιήσω HPS και 6.500 CFL του


Ο συνδυασμός του φωτός δίνει μια πιο υγιή φάσμα του φωτός στα φυτά (κατά τη γνώμη μο&#965.

Αγόρασα μεγαλώνουν τα φώτα μου on-line από το E-Bay.

From what I have read, you should be fine with the lights you have.
I use a combination of lights.
For the vegetative stage I use MH and 3,000K CFL’s.
For the flowering stage I use HPS and 6,500 CFL’s
The mix of light gives a healthier light spectrum to the plants (in my opinion).
I bought my grow lights on-line from E-Bay.
