Yes the bulb was on. I thought the same thing about the oils on our hand. But the bubl doesnt get hot enough to even burn my hand let alone oil.

It is a CMH bulb, 400W

Goes to show the heat difference between a CMH and a HPS

i run a 250 eye hortilux
