Just signed up and wanted to say high!

So, I'm an older dude and I've been smokin pot for 33 years now and believe it or not this is my first time really trying to grow. I can't believe it's taken me this long! Why am I doing it now?" Because I've had it! I am sick and tired of dry spells, shitty weed, bad counts, guys who talk the talk but don't walk the walk (like my 25year old neighbor who has yet to come through) and overall, paying for it. So I found about 8 seeds it some pretty decent bud and I planted 2 of them on June 1st. I will get some pics up as soon as I download them from my camera.

I'm looking forward to chatting with everyone and getting some input from the seasoned vets to help me be successful right off the bat. No more time to waste! I don't care anymore about anyone else. I wanna be the best that I can be! lol

OK, here they are. Just over 1 month. Just transplanted yesterday. These shots are today.

Im on my first grow too, for very similar reasons as yourself. Its great fun, and teaches you a lot about the herb we all love. Look forward to seeing things progress.

Indoor for me. Moving soon so I didn't want to get too into yet so I'm just starting with these two. Would like to harvest before I move in Sept but I think I might have to take them with me. Got them under the stairs with CFL's. Two to start at 24or 26 watt cool whites. I think around that 5500 range.

For a month they look rather behind...you need a lot more light man, and I mean A LOT!!! haha...do you have any type of ventilation, or any means of air circulation???

they definitely look small for 1 month, but there looking healthy so keep it going man, get more lights on them if you can they will grow like crazy after that!

The circulation is good. It's not air tight and it's right by the bathroom so I open the door everytime I make a trip there. LOL So you think they should be further along. They did have a hard time getting started where I had to stake them up but I only had 1 cheap CFL on it for the first 2 and half weeks. Then I rigged up the 2 cool whites and fixed them up a bit and they seem to have taken off.

They should be a whole lot bigger and fuller...you definitely need to add more lights...

I'm stuck on CFL's for this one. Don't really want to play with gas and ballasts and stuff right now. What do you suggest and what do you use? I'm on a big time budget and scrounging with what I have around here so cheap is the word.

So I figure, if I write off the first two to three weeks and say that I'm that far behind, I should catch up in a couple of weeks. One thing I do have is time and patience and right now I'm looking more forward to the trip. I'll enjoy the destination when I get there.

I wasn't suggesting that you buy an HPS and all that fancy equipment...I would suggest a few more of those 23 watt cool white cfl's maybe 4 per plant, but you should get some soft white or warm whites too for the flowering period...

Oh yeah, I was just letting you know where my heads at. So you think 4 per plant. I have 2 bulbs now and can add 2 more but 4 or 6 more is tight. Plus I think it might get a little too warm in there and hard to regulate. I planned on grabbing some bulbs for flowering in the next while.

Nice thread so far and welcome. First time grower here. I have 1 bag seed growing i got locally and some other seeds high end from marijuana-seeds dot nl website. Nice shipping. my 1 bag seed is small almost not worth growing. My 3 other seeds are growing fast as hell. I might recommend buying some seeds from the website i posted very reliably and stealthy. The stunted growth of your plants could either be not enough light or just that its a regular old run of the mill seed. Check my post to see what i did. I'm currently constructing a grow box of my own. Hope to see more pics.

That could cause some problems man...you'll probably need to install proper ventilation before you can add more lights to your growing arsenal...GL!
