I'm under the impression the filter should be sucked into, and not blown out of, am i wrong? or are both right? I planned on sucking through filter from in the grow room near the roof where the hot air is (have AC in there), then through the fan, and pushed out through the cool tube, then into attic?

Does that sound right, or do i have it all fucked up ? lol:-?

the way you wanna do it is quite good. Also in general people prefer to suck air into the filter but blowing some in should also work still to be safe suck air into it less chance that the carbon don't have the time to react and do the job ;)

I've heard dryer sheets work as well, if you're paranoid use both?
lol, not paranoid. Mainly using this in hopes of cooling my lighting, in return, hopefully cooling my room temps a few degrees, the odor elimination is just a plus.

It sounds like you did your homework to me. As mentioned, it will work both ways but pulling through the filter and pushing out through cooled hood is preferred. Well done

You want to have the filter as high up as possible and you suck the air through it. Also keep in mind that carbon filters are ineffective, if your air temps are much above 80F.

Sucking through the filter is the recommended way. That's the way it designed to operate. I suggest going SMELLY AIR ---> CARBON FILTER --> COOL TUBE --> INLINE FAN (located in the attic) ----> ATTIC or DIRECTLY TO ROOF VENT. You want to put the cool tube between the filter and the fan so that there is negative pressure through the cool tube (avoid the whistle effect through leaky hood). Otherwise, you would require extra space for the fan inside the tent, and the whole operation is much quieter if the fan is isolated (sitting on foam or something to avoid vibration) in the attic. Also, I suggest getting a speed controller that's temperature sensitive. http://www.nehydro.com/climate-control/controllers/grozone-temp-2v-fan-speed-controller/?gclid=COOop8nz3LgCFWcC4god5AEAPg If you get a big fat fan and hook up that speed controller you won't even need a air conditioner.

I decided to suspend my fan with rope rachets, and it seems pretty quiet and non smelly, but my temps are still fucking stuppppid high. Looks like im going to be investing in more air conditioners, or a really big, kick ass one. 90's all day in the room. going to me a thread about which is more cost effective.

That's exactly how I do it, and it is very effective.

Get those temps under control SOON or you'll be sorry. Get a 8in CanFan (I know that's really big) and the temp/speed controller I mentioned above. Problem solved.
