Just got busted in Indiana

First off, sure they might not be able to get a warrant for seeds alone but that's what gives them the excuse for the house call and questioning. Regardless of how it went, if they weren't going to be let in and they still wanted in all they had to do was give the universal excuse of "smelling weed". They don't even smell it most of the time. That's just their cover for having a reason to pry further into people's privacy. If they suspected due to gWeese's reaction, they go tell the judge that they smelled weed, he had seeds, he was nervous etc and then they get the search warrant. It may take a day or two even but if they want in, they will bullshit their way in one way or another. That's how it works.

As far as LoudBlunts is concerned, don't worry too much about what he has to say. Dickheads are a dime a dozen on the internet.

Some of the woulda coulda shouldas aren't directed at you in a critical manner as much as they are being said for others to heed as well should they find themselves in the same situation. You fiance is like most everyone else. People are intimidated by the police and just have no clue or experience with how to react safely. They feel openness and honesty is the best course because in alot of parts of our lives, it is. It's not even wise to lie to the cops. The best course is to just be silent.

I sympathize with you and commend you for not blaming her at all. You are correct there and I know it must hurt to know that your harmless hobby brought this witch hunt to your doorstep. Don't feel guilty for what you did though. You did nothing to hurt anyone, even yourself. You are actually a victim here of other people's hate and our society's crime against you.

One real blessing about all of this is that you are caught with enough to charge you with only a misdemeanor. That is so much better than a felony. In many states any cultivation is an automatic felony.

I do talk to people around me about how to deal with police, especially those in my household including my teenagers. I grill them on it at times just to hammer important points home. I want them to know their rights and to not always be so trusting when they or someone they care about are the focus of any investigation or questioning. Many innocent people are harmed by honest things they say once it is twisted, misconstrued or taken out of context. Alot of bogus threats and fear tactics are used in order to get information that can be turned against someone.

All of you need to remember these things and need to talk about them with people close to you whether you are partaking in something illegal or not. You don't want to get charged and convicted of something you had nothing to do with just because of an over zealous investigation and the courts that support those strong arm and dishonest tactics.

OnSolomonsGrave - no laws have changed....it was my dumb ass mistake

deciding to use my name and address. having the seeds sent to my

address probably isnt illegal enough to get a warrant, but try to put

yourself in my shoes and keep in mind i have severe anxiety disorder...so

at the time i was freakin the fuck out and not thinking clearly...yes i made

mistakes....but there will always be a would coulda shoulda. and when

they left they did say they had enough to go get a warrant and they would be back...

when i first opened my door and they started in on me about the

seeds i denied it...and kept insisting a warrant. they said when i first

opened the door they could smell burnt maryj, and they said they knew i

was lying due to the beads of sweat running down my face and my heart

beat could be seen thru my chest! THey new i had plants...and i kow

they thought i had a lot....and they wouldve been back with a warrant for sure....

so i took the 50/50 chance of discarding them in the corn field....and in a

way that fucked me....and in a way it helped me since they never found

the plants.

i mean what wouldve happend if they came back within the hour with

warrant....then i wouldve been caught with the plants inside my house.

i know you arent trying to dicredit what happend...

i knew that telling this story on hear...i would get a lot of people saying

you shouldve done this...shouldve done that.... but never did i think i

would get such negative comments from someone on here(LoudBlunts)

But its cool...ive dealt with guys like him before and all you do is tell them

to go to hell and leave it at that.
calm down grasshopper...aint nobody started being negative until you started throwing a fit and calling names.

its called telling it like it is! constructive criticism....im not about to sugar coat ANYTHING...

I've found something that could be helpful to everyone concerning how to deal with Law Men > Don't Talk to Cops YouTube - Don't Talk to Cops, Part 1 , I have another question too...what if Gweese decided to high tail it out of the state, just saying if he packed up his belongings and went to California to live, never returning to Indiana. Indiana would then issue a warrant for Gweese's arrest because he never showed up to deal with the misdemeanor , but say even if Gweese got stopped for a traffic violation in California and they ran his name, the officer would see where he had a warrant on him in Indiana , what could the California officer do? Arrest Gweese on the spot ? My theory would be that if that did happen, Gweese could let it be known that he was going to fight extradiction tooth and toe nail to keep from going back to Indiana and my guess is being that since it is a misdemeanor that they (Indiana Authorities ) would say "forget it", I don't think Indiana would waste the time and effort on trying to extradict a misdemeanor case especially when a person was fighting extradiction. I'm not telling you what to do Gweese, but if you want to grow again... it would be wise to move to a "Medi-Juana state" , and being that California is a Medijuana state, and its not difficult to get a Medi-pot recommendation out there, it might be something you should consider in the near future. The reason why I didn't mention the other Medi-pot states is because it can be tough getting an M.D.'s recommendation, but there are SO MANY in Cali recommending them. I wish I could help you bro.

Man i hope everything works out for you. I have learned from this thread. I live in a pretty big city where cops have a whole lot to deal with, so i dont think they would put forth too much effort in a 10 pack of hemp seeds. But you never know, so i will switch delivery addresses in future. I always ordered small quantities, an i feel it helps to expedite the package. it comes faster and delivered to the door so looks more legit i think. If I recall correctly nirvana's package reads something addressed neatherlands. See I dont use them for that reason, cause WTF is someone really gonna be getting a few times from the netherlands in US ya dig. Anyway, GL take care and i would FIGHT.

GW, I'm wondering, do you live in a small town? I'm just curious because small town cops would try to get a bust out of this seed info they got, expecially this being an election year and all. I also understand the laziness of small town cops when it comes to searching a cornfield in the dark during a storm for pot plants.

Personally I don't think they have anything on you. One fan leaf is not bust worthy. I think they pictured charging in your house in their glory, busting your with pounds and being the town heroes, only to be denied and now they look like assholes. Outwitted, Outplayed, Outlasted.

Did you watch that youtube don't talk to the cops thing? I am and it's the greatest piece of informational work ever.

it was the state police...i kinda live in a small town...but its very close to Indianapolis....my neighborhood is pretty big...and fairly new...lots of neighbors that dont like anyways due to them thinking i have viscous dogs...but now im sure they think i am a druggy with viscous dogs.

i did watch the youtube video and yes it is a masterpiece.

i got home yesterday from work and went to lay down....fighting the fact i havent smoked since the incident....and i heard a chopper awfully close...went to my back door and sure enough...there was a chopper 50ft from my house and about 20ft from the ground going down and back...down and back....it had some type of device on the nose of the chopper so i am assuming this was a device that can detect mj plants....i remember reading of some device that can do this...not sure if its true...mighta just been a camera....??? but i did look straight into the eyes of one of the cops that was hangin out the side opening...and i waved. he didnt wave back....they then went to the next field bout a mile or two away from my hood and went back and forth as well.

I was just curious, I live in a small town and it is just the type of shit you'd expect to see here from the cops. Did you say you got rid of the plants out of the field? ( I can't remember, I know I read all the posts, damn pot-heimers lol)

Cops are dicks, sorry to hear about your trouble, we're nearly neighbors, I'm just over the border in IL.

Nope...but whatever they find in that field wasnt mine:)

I'd like someone to say what might happen if Gweese packed his shit up in the middle of the night and fled to another state, like a few states away, I understand that he has a descent job and probably owns his own home making it unrealistic to flee over a misdemeanor, but just say if Gweese had a shitty job and was renting...and moved cross country to another state, just say he lucked up and found another job that didn't back ground check on him , how long would a warrant stay out on him in Indiana ? and would Indiana seek extradiction if they were notified of his whereabouts a year or 2 down the road ? I ask this out of curiosity because some of us are the type to face the music and some of us are the type to haul ass...

they realized they don't have shit and are back trying to collect (meaningful) evidence or find a grow back there ... in any case, you're going to be a popular dude in that neighborhood. not.

personally, i think you're in a dilemma, because you sure as shit don't want them to find whatever's in the back yard, but seeing as you already told them you chucked your shit out there, anything they find is automatically yours. problem is that if they see you find it, you're doing their work for them.

oh, and i wouldn't run. it's a PIA and more incriminating. if they bring charges, running is not a good option. considering they have next to nothing on your now, i'd definitely stick it out, after giving the missus some cop-handling lessons.

good luck.

sounded like they didn't find anything in the feild. For all they knew he could have been growing guirilla in the corn. That's probably what they were looking for. those helis aint cheap, alot of money for 4 plants.

That sucks man, But how long after did you go in the field because if you went to the field right after the cops left I would assume they would stay there for a few more minutes seeing if you are trying to get rid of anything.

This is just the kind of story I needed to hear to confirm whether or not buying seeds online was safe... I was contemplating it, but I am def. not even gonna bother now.
