I would like to know about these 3 cats that arrived at my place about 6 weeks ago, they were living under a big bushy tree in my back yard with there mother.
After a few days the mother left and has not returned, they were not that small not like little kittens, more like small cats.
So I have been feeding them now for 6 weeks and I was wondering when will the time come that they can take care of themselves.,because I dont want them to stay forever.
I tried not feeding them hoping they would go away, but when I was sitting out the back in the morning having a coffee they keep meowing at me, so I had to go inside.
The next day they were worse carrying on hassleing me so much I had to go and buy more cat food just to shut them up.
I`m thinkling to go away for a few days and dont leave any food for them, how long do you think it will take them to leave if I dont feed them?
Also if I didnt feed them would they just stay here anyway putting their lives in danger?
I had dogs all my life so Im not a cat person so I dont play with them though I made some toys for them to play with and its funny watching them jump around playing.

The best thig to do is get them spayed or neutered or you will end up with a herd of them. There are a lot of places that will do it for free for feral cats, they notch the ear to identify them as strays. Feral cats kill a lot of wildlife also. I don't believe they will just go away since you fed them.

My sister has become the Old Cat Lady in her neighborhood.
Any stray that shows up gets a free round trip ticket and all expenses paid vacation at the Vet office.
For $30 they spay/neuter the cat.

Once they return, the smorgasbord buffet is open daily for their convenience.
3 are now inside cats 1 is in and out and close to 10 that just hang around outside.

No special provisions are made for Gizmo, the feral pig that frequents the cat food supply.

Not my sisters zoo.

We had a siamese, we actually put her on a leash. It made her legs stop working. It was really funny to watch.
On the other hand she loved going for walks. Take a walk around the block, she'd follow along. I've said it before, she was more like a dog than a cat
