Just Bloom switch on LED

I have a nice big 2000w (450w actual) LED, which has the traditional veg and bloom switches. I know it's best to have both on during flower, but I just switched to a smaller tent and having both on leads to heat problems. With just one switch on heat is ok.
What happens of I turn off the VEG switch during flowering? Will they be ok with just the bloom lights on?

Maybe. Depends on your space. A better ventilation setup should be on your shopping list.
Good climate control is pretty important.
I have a fan, and a 4" inline fan, just doesn't seem to be enough. I guess I could spring for a 6", just seems excessive for a tiny tent

It's not excessive if you can't keep your temperature in check. When you say you have a 4" inline fan, you aren't talking about a cheap $15 duct fan, are you? Those have very low CFM and are pretty much useless for a grow tent.

No, I'm talking about a proper 190cfm inline.

I'm also worried about the noise a 6" would make, as the 4" is already loud for my bedroom.
Does anyone have any experience with growing with just the bloom lights?

i have tried putting a 6 inch into a tent. the negative pressure in the tent from a 6 inch was too much. i use a 4 inch fan and could stand to turn it down some.

where are you venting this out to? what kind of temps are in the room that houses the tent? and how hot is the tent getting. are you sucking air from the bottom or top of the tent?

Sucking from the top, I tried the bottom and temps went up. Venting out into my bedroom. Temps are 29-30 with only 1 switch on, they go up to 35-40 with both switches on. The room the tent is in is low-mid 20's. I think the light is just way too big for the tiny tent.
I guess I'll just try to bloom them with just the bloom switch and see what happens.
