Just asking a couple of questions

Over the last 3 months I've had severe anxiety and panic attacks coming from out of no where, this also causes me to have vertigo and nausea. All these symptoms came from severe stress of my father being diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer, I even lost my job to my condition. I've done everything to try and control my anxiety attacks and panic attacks (exercising, reading, social activity)but none of it helps when i need to sleep at night. I Figured i'd give you guys a background on what my condition is.

Anyway, aside from being just a regular doctor does he need to have a specific license, permit, or special registration to suggest medical marijuana use?

Here's how the process goes
1) Go to a DR. in RI, MA, CT (must be licensed in one of these states)
2) Have the good Dr. sign a recommendation form available here
3) Send both the signed form and a money order to:
Department of Health - Medical Marijuana Program
Office of Health Professions Regulation, Room 104
3 Capitol Hill, Providence, RI 02908-5097.
(Your part is done, almost)

4) Dept. of Health sends a confirmation to the good Dr.
5) The good Dr. Sends it back
6) DoH sends you a letter in the mail telling you you're approved
7) Bring the letter to the address above and have your ID made

it says that you can only have 2.5 ounces, so when you harvest a plant that has a qp...does that mean the extra 1.5 ounces is illigal? im not sure i understand..

Yep it's illegal. According to the law, the only way to keep under the legal limit is to have perpetual harvests of small to medium plants, and get rid of them before your next harvest. Don't pay attention to that. I keep all my medicine in glass jars and stash it away somewhere until I use it. Just don't stand out like a sore thumb and you will be fine. And don't sell to the street, JUST to medically licensed patients or caregivers, and you will be fine. Also, keep extra medicine at home, and don't leave home with anything more than 2.5oz's.

What do people usually donate per oz of medicine? Can u only gift medicine to patients that have signed u up to be there caregiver?

You can GIFT to any patient/Caregiver..ONLY an assigned patient can donate back to HIS/HER caregivers operation.

RI has been Medically legal since 2006.

Ahhh well I guess we copied you then.. We get the shitty amount of 2.5 too but we can grow 12.. Makes it tough on people like me who aren't really into cloning. I like to grow a variety, or at least something different every new grow. Growing a mature plant and ending up with 2.5oz is next to impossible..

Same exact limits here in RI..2.5 for a patient..5oz for a Patient/Caregiver or 5oz for a caregiver of 2 or more patients.24 flowering 12 immature.

not if you veg it longer than most people do.. some folks call it "cali style"... longer vegging, taking better care of the roots, more balanced nutrition will lead to better yields... i've personally taken 8oz dry from one plant (not even the biggest indoor i've seen either), after about a two month veg cycle... it all comes down to proper technique, equipment, and taking the time to give the tlc that biggies need... (they can be a bit fussier than "standard" indoor sized plants, but the extra work is worth it, especially if you are growing a "keeper" or a mother plant...

you have it opposite they have to keep it small, real small to stay legal

i was under the impression that the size of the plants was immaterial, only the number of plants themselves... i know that is the reason so many folks in cali, maine, colorado and michigan do it... i believe the letter of the law was 12 flowering and 6 immature... or something like that...

Correct, size of the plants IS irrelevant as long as there aren't too many, the issue w/ RI law is that most growers can double if not triple the minimum of dried/usable with 1 plant so letting them get big can get you in trouble come harvest time. It's a tricky few weeks between drying and dispensing, that's when you are vulnerable to the law.
