Just another grow journal to document what's goin on in my neck of the woods 
I have 8 strains in veg. right now:
Power Flower
Critical
Super Lemon Haze
Sleestack X Skunk
Critical Super Silver Haze
White Widow
AK47
NYC Diesel
I'm just using cheapie Home Depot AP Promix with some added perlite -- up until yesterday I had been feeding with Pure Blend Pro but to mix things up a bit I picked up a couple bottles of House & Garden Soil A&B. I've used a few different nutrient lines and I gotta say this one has me a little confused(which doesn't take much)
When I got it home, I looked at the bottle and saw this weird ass npk:
I use RO water, so by compulsion I always add half a tsp of calmag, not sure I even need it but whatever. But anyway, it seems like a really low concentration right!? At 2/3 dosage, however, it got me into the upper 700, low 800 ppm range which is decent I guess. And when I adjusted the ph I only needed like a little dash of ph up to get me to 6.4, which is friggin great, but with other lines it seems like I'm adding PH up by the fist-full........which kinda makes me think that there's nothing in it but water.........but the ppms are relatively normal? I don't know, we'll see. I fed the plants with it the night before last and they seem to be happy but I'll definitely be watching for deficiencies.

Also, after this batch goes into flower, my next run will be just 5 GHS Super Lemon Haze, and 4 GHS White widow -- just to use up the packs. It's like an ocd thing - I hate having unused packs just sitting around. I'll pick the best from each pack, add it to my collection if I like it, and then move on to something else.
I've always started my seeds using "the paper towel method" so this is going to be my first attempt at just throwing them in a cup with some dirt and calling it good. Sounds easy enough, but I have to admit I'm a tad bit nervous about it...lol. Dont ask why.....maybe I just think they're too deep now after I watered them -- I probably shouldn't trip about it -- the seeds know what they're doing. Fingers crossed:
I've switched up the flower room a bit too. Upon realizing, with the help from some of you here at RIU, that I'd been wasting quite a bit of light by having my flower room in the corner of a MUCH larger room, I decided to split my veg room and use it for flowering as well. I just used a couple layers of reflective insulation to build a makeshift divider. The flower room dimensions are now 4x9x8 with two 600 watt hps. I'm not 100% sure but I'm thinking that there may be a little light leaking through the insulation from the veg. side so before my next batch goes in there, I'm going to hang some drywall -- it'll look much neater and give me some peace of mind if nothing else.

The ladies that are in flower right now have been giving me shit since week two. And I'm all but positive I must have got a F'd up batch of ocean forest. Every single plant started showing calcium deficiency at week 2 of flower even though I potted-up on day 1. I don't have a soil ph meter but the run-off was very low. I didn't want to over-correct so I thought I'd just start feeding when I normally do when I use Ocean Forest and try to ride it out. Well, the calcium deficiency continued for some reason and I lost quite a bit of foliage and it's about the ugliest grow I've ever had..............even going back to my newb days. I'm still getting bud but I hate even having to go in there and look at them which sucks -- it's usually the highlight of my night when the hps kicks on and I get to go kick it with the ladies......... Suffice to say, FUCK OCEAN FOREST..............at least for a little while anyways. lol
I have some some water-only organic soil aging right now as well. Honestly though, after this Ocean Forest debacle, I'm starting to get that hydro itch again.
Meh.......we'll see what mood I'm in here in a couple months. Alright, calcium issues aside, here is some bud porn from the flower room. Hopefully anyone peepin this doesn't have crappy internet speed.
