:peace: I know everyone says it is bad to prune your plants but my plants seems a bit bunched up and bushy. Some of the branches are trying to poke their heads out from underneath the big fan leaves and just seem like they need light. Will they eventualy make their way out from underneath the fan leaves?

Its the fan leaves that absorb the energy for the nugs to grow so it shouldn't matter whats else is shaded as long as the fan leaves are getting light. Gently moving branches out the way so they have room to grow would be fine, but I wouldn't worry if they're not getting direct light.

try never to remove fan leaves. they dump their energy back into the plant. krust is right. fan leaves are what makes the buds grow big and fat. they are the "solar panels" of the plant. cut the fan leaves of a bud, that bud will suffer. plant is drooping... overwatering? you can try low stress training branches....make some of them grow horizontally. or use stakes inside pot to force them to grow where you want them to. good luck...

I water them every other day. It shouldnt be overwatering. I think it just need nutes. Next nute feed is tomorow and they always perk up

you should try and let the soil dry out a bit.. that seems like a big pot, in mine the soil stays moist for up to 4 days and mine are 1 gal so sometimes watering every other day is still to much if it isn't drying out. Goodluck!

theres not really a set schedule to watering. water plants when top 1-2" of soil have dried out. im pretty sure the pot you have your plant in does not completely dry out in 1 day. thus, overwatering. just my 2 cents.... :)

I would say overwatering. When using soil I wait until I can see the soil start to shrink away from the edge of the pot then I know its very dry and ready for a good watering. You will also know how dry your soil is by how much water you have to use before you get run off. If your only adding a small amount of water and you get run off, your soil was wet. If you have to keep pouring more before run off, then the soil was dryer. Some people can tell by lifting their pots, wet ones are heavy and dry ones are light, experiment with some dry soil and wet soil in pots its very easy to tell the difference by the weight.

My soil does dry extremly fast. I think because of my lights. Their cfl's but i got alot of em. I feel way down into the soil to see if there is any moister at all but usually after 1 1/2 days its pretty damn dry. I dont water my plants till i see them drain out the bottom of the pot. I think its a bit too much, or is it?:peace:

Put a layer of clay balls around the top of your soil it wont dry out as fast, and try giving your plant/plants a feeding routine, like the same time every 3rd day.

Do the plants pick up after watering ? I only ask as overwatering and underwatering look the same and if your sure that the soil is drying out and that your not overwatering It could be underwatering. Heat can dry out soil quick. You could try a cover for your pots. I cut circles out of cardboard and wrapped them with Mylar sheeting, put a slot in card for plant stem and hey presto a cover for your pots that will help to stop the soil drying out so quick, plus these have the added bonus of reflecting light back up from under the canopy.

Dude I swear I had that same idea buddy. Its perfect. But I mean watering every other day is perfect I think. If the plant keeps sagging Ill forsure do that though :peace:
