What up RIU, Im about 7 months into a new grow, in a new, legal state! Built out my dream grow and I wanted to share my experience.

Veg (4x8 tent): 2x HLG 260xl's @4000k

Tester tent (3x3): HLG 260 @3000k

Flower (11x13 room): 4x Gavita 1650e's

So i came from HID growing over the span of 9 years before I built this room and made the switch. I used blurples for my moms and clones for years, but never flowered under LED. I only decided to make the switch when I found out the Ceiling in the basement of the home I bought were just over 7 foot. That being said, Im extremely impressed.

The first test run under one Gavita 1650e. I ran 5 plants in 10 gallon pots, Promix coco and Canna nutes. C02 @1200+ppm, etc. Pulled close to two pounds with a rather patchy canopy (pics below). Bud was awesome, not quuiite as dense as ive had in the past with HID's but the quality was stunning. PAR meter read over 1200 @ 12" from canopy.

The HLG's in veg are pretty amazing, I was initially running them about 18" from canopy but had pretty severe light toxicity, a term I was completely unfamiliar with before these LED's. They now sit closer to 36" above canopy. One thing painfully true about running LEDs, CalMag deficiency is hard to avoid, the p[lants simply crave the fuck out it under these lights for some reason. Between the calmag deficiencies and the light toxicity, I fried the first run unfortunately, but I have it mostly under control now, and am seeing the healthiest plants Ive grown in recent memory. I gotta say I love these lights now, after getting over the learning curve. PAR meter reads between 300-400@ 36in from canopy. see pics below.

The HLG in the flower tent performed well, but like my veg tent, I hung it wayyy too close to the canopy on the first run, but still pulled some fire.

Comments and Questions appreciated.

Ya, had the money laying around.

Retrospect, I'd prob go with HLG 600's or Spyders, I'm sure theyre every bit as good as the Gavitas.
They are, but you're stuck in the pre fab hella expensive route.
There are massively cheaper options. But hey, if it was "just lyin around", Fuck it then. Right?

You basically didn't even use your scrog net though. Do NOT BE AFRAID to bend those branches down underneath the net all the way into 2 weeks of flower to keep shit level.
Beige flip, you can literally pinch and massage the stems where you want them to bend, and break the tissues underneath not to crack the stems outer layer, but enough to where it just bends right over. Super cropping. You could have filled that space out more uniformly. Next time try to hit that goal. But you did great.
