Junyard 6$ 250 HPS !!!!

I found a street light at this junkyard I stop at once in awhile for this reason !! and threw this together the box is out of a dell com. and the junction box was from junkyard also and the reflector , I purchased the white slide on male and female connectors for 6 bucks Not bad for a 250watt HPS !!

I'm using the cord and the power supply Box to house the ballast just like a store purchased remote ballast instead of having a bare ballast and you have the option of leaving the fan in to cool the ballast . Its very simple look up ballast kits and you will c what i'm talking about. Radio shack has box's you can purchase that would also work and around a hundred dollars cheaper to have.

I see ballasts online for like 50 bucks without the housing and often wondered what kind of box to put it in..that's the perfect solution, built in fan and all. Now If I could just come up on a free ballast that'd be awesome

I'm mcgeyver when it come's to my plants !!!

And if you look around you can get the ballast real cheap (Ebay) they will not last as long as a ballast made for growing but it will last awhile as long as you keep it cool and dry it should last !!! Peace
