Jungle Wreck with HTG Supply 2 Foot 2 Lamp PL-55 Tek Lamp

Hey all. this is my second go at growing, first time indoors!

I JUST got my beans!
I got 11 jungle Wreck regular seeds and 2 Northern Lights regular seeds. I will be germinating around 5 Jungle Wreck seeds VIA the paper towel method (have had great success with this over popping a seed in soil) and then placing them in 16oz party cups with epsoma organic potting mix. NO NUTES until at least 3 set of fan leafs! Need to pick some up in a few days.

Beans started to crack. Damn that was fast. Just waiting for tails to transplant into the 16 Oz cups.



How I am creatively germinating the seeds

Transplanted the 4 out of 5 seeds last night. One just didn't seem to want to germ :/

Welp seems I did something wrong... Seed's didn't poke the soil so I went to dig them up to see if they were growing and nope. Still looked the same as when I placed them in the cups so I started 4 more and just ploped them in the soil. Hope they sprout So now I have 2 Jungle wreck seeds and 2 NL and will be saving them for the spring

YAY!! We have some progress!

1 and 3 have poked the surface of the soil. 4 did last night but I was drunk and overly excited and ended up knocking the cup off my dresser and the soil went all over the floor. You can tell it has a lesser amount of soil then the other cups :/ Cleaned it up and put the sprout back in the soil, hoping for a good recovery!

Still a work in progress. Want to add some plywood for a shelf for veg/clone area and possibly a area for drying at the very top.

**UPDATE** 3 hours later and #4 has pop'd through the soil! holy FUCK these things are growing fast! I think the paper towel germination process doesn't work well with this strain or it was too cold before as I now added a heater aimed at the solo cups for some warmth.

Good idea for germ. A warm paper towel really does work. I set mine on top of one of my T55 lights. They sprouted quicklike too!

Just went to take a pic as the lights came on. They are growing pretty damn fast! I have the lighting on 20/4, was at 24 until a day ago. Will switch to 18/6 by either Monday or next Friday. Not sure yet. I will take pics on Tuesdays and Fridays and write down what I am doing or have done.

#4 looks pretty good considering the dive off the dresser. I kept my plants on 24 for a month and a half, then switched to 18/6. They grow fast with 24, but they seem to be happier when they have a rest period.

Watch out for that squash bug chillin' in cup #1. IDK if they eat weed or not.

Oh yeah. #4 is recovering just fine considering what it went through.. I mean, the sprout was COMPLETELY out of the soil and I freaked! But I knew if I put it back and buried it it'd continue to grow. I also have a picture of Bob Marley on the outer side wall of my grow closet

As for the bug, it's a stink bug. I had the siding of my house redone aswell as the roofing and these fuckers are everywhere inside now (they came from the wood!). I still find them either chilling on the drapes of my windows or crawling on the walls. I'm doing my best to dispose of these fuckers but they seem to keep coming. Been 2 years and they are STILL getting inside somehow. I totally forgot I took a picture with it there haha. After I took the pic I flushed it down the toilet.

Seems the soil is a little to hot for seedlings... So I am going to wait a bit longer before thinking about adding nutes. (Might not even have too)
Also, planting in 16 Oz party cups was probably a bad idea as the roots are starting to poke out a bit on the bottom of the cups. (I slit holes for excess water) For anyone reading it's best to get (from my observation) a deeper then wider pot but I could be wrong.

I also switched the lighting now to 19/5 yesterday.

I have been thinking about letting these grow around 6"-8" and then putting in a screen for a Scrog. hoping to have a final height of around 1'... I will brainstorm and think more and go as I grow

The roots are starting to come out the bottom... I went to the local nursery today just to find out they were closed FUCK! I need to pick up 3 gallon pots and some fertilizers! Also, they are on a 18-6 cycle since 2 days ago. I read giving them 16-8 might be better but can't experiment this time around. I want to harvest in time for 4/20! I also will be giving them a molasses watering (great thread for info https://www.rollitup.org/nutrients/347074-using-molasses.html) to activate some of the microorganisms in the soil in preparation for the rest of the plants life. I also need to push myself to start obtaining the items I need for cloning. I have a shoe box, air pump and hose ready. Just need the air-stone and maybe net pots. Also want to start making a ACCT tea brewer.

Yup! This soil is pretty fucking good! You should give it a whirl next grow and see if you notice a improvement. I've never seen plants grow such big leafs and put out 5 finger'd leafs on the second node! they are starting to stink on a few plants already. Not much but when you place your nose to it you can smell a little skunky smell. I am going to get some 2 gallon pots this weekend and some fertilizers. Also going to scrape together some stuff to brew some teas and want to get some plywood to start working on my shelf's in my closet so I can have a storage area at the top, dry area, veg area and flowering area at the bottom. work has been kicking my ass and i'm dead tired when I get home.

My closet is 2 feet wide and I am using 16" deep. Height is over 6 feet
