Jumping spider

Hey people

I have an outdoor plant on my balcony and i realized the plant isnt looking good. I suspect many reasons and one of them is PH (as i dont have the meter on me). But then i realized some white spiders on my plants who jump very quickly when you try to approach them. What i do to find them is I shake the stem couple of times and you see them hang down with their web and then climb back.

they look very similar to this one http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kkYuQoYmDeo

Can someone tell me if they are harmful ?

Also, with my plants i'm physically blasting the buggs off with just water every couple of days. It's not stoping them coming back, but keepng the numbers down, and totally safe when consuming the peppers and basil afterwards

i have used vacuum cleaners for that before ;) and then give it a spray of bug killer into the hose just before turning it off. But you have to be very careful using it as it can suck your plant in.

so what is caliclean? any alternative names to it?

No idea bout cali clean i'm afraid. I've only ver really treated spider mites, and use mighty wash for that, which is expensive, but bloody good
