JP, I didn't see anything at the beginning of your post on how you germinated. I'm trying to germinate now, and its going very slow, only 1/4 seeds have split and began to root. seeds are supposedly quality from kindseeds(dot)com. The one that worked opened in a glass of water in 24 hrs, the others stayed there for 2 more days, nothing, then in a paper towel for 2 days, nothing, in dirt for 2 days, nothing...

I usually do the straight to paper towel method. then i insert the germinated root into a start plug. (skinny version of rapid rooters) and place that into my net basket and backfill with pebbles. hydron ? can never remember how to spell it but its those clay pebbles that drain well and are ph neutral..

I got my seeds from nirvana and so far have had really good success germinating them.

Im managing 86 degrees, I put a 6 inch fan in one corner blowing to the exhaust, it lowered my temp 2 degrees doing that.
Y'all have some good ideas, I always thought about making a lens for the light.

Im using the old light, the new one is way hotter believe it or not. I might have bought to cheap a bulb for the 23 watt bulbs, their operating temp is too much for me to deal with. can you hold your 23 watters? they seem much more hot than the 42 watt bulbs.

AHH thats it hydrotron!

i know my box is a little bigger, temps are running 84/86 depending on the a/c cycles at the house. yes i can touch them, i mean there hot, but dont burn ya when you touch them. the 1 bright white is a little hotter than the softwhites.

LoL I can't wait to be high off my own supply!!

I just wanted to say that I mounted my temp sensor about 3-4" from lights, "right at top of canopies" and its about 83-86 in my cab still aswell... I'm happy with it too, Its crazy how much the temp drops 8 inches from the light!!
