It is for me...Im in California with my Medical Card...I agree about STEALING, alot of industries are hurting because of broke ass thieves. MUSIC, MOVIES, BOOKS, MAGZ, ETC... People will eventually give up making anything if they dont receive the fruits from their labor. BUY THE BOOK PEOPLE!!! AND SOFTWARE AND MOVIES, AND MUSIC, AND PROB THE OPERATING SYSTEM YOUR USING.

Actually, depending on where you live, it's NOT stealing. In Canada and many other countries, people are allowed to download almost anything. Produce copies and selling them for profit is illegal, of course. But downloading is not considered stealing, it's considered SHARING. You know? that thing we all learned in kindergarten; and then most promptly forgot. The original copyright laws couldn't enforce sharing so they had to allow people to be able to share things. All forms of media. Books, movies, music, graphics. Anything considered a form of media basically. In fact, copyrights actually harm the generation of an intellectually aware society because they imply that ideas ars personal rather than collective, as Buddhists have been proving over, and over, and over, for the last 3000 years of recorded history.
The current crisis in the world is how far we will let governments take over the free will of society to adapt and change naturally rather than stagnate and fall apart.
I do not speak as a user wanting to take.. I am an artist. I am a musician and a writer as well.. All things i create, I create for enjoyment, not profit. I do honest work to support myself in life. I am not a lecherous opportunist who gets rich on a painting, or a song, or a book, or a movie, and who doesn't lift a finger to help his fellow man. I release all my music and art on the Internet for absolutely FREE. Because culture and knowledge SHOULD be free and open to all people, not for profit. The Business Model of living has poisoned the soul of almost every aspect of this world. But business is a human concept, dependent upon a society that does not share, where every individual must consume to create more profit for the businesses to expand further. It is insanity. It is GREED INCARNATE.
All knowledge can be obtained by any person, anywhere, anytime.. Just because You said eureka, doesn't mean that knowledge belongs to you.. Newton, for example, did not invent gravity. Neither did he discover it. It discovered HIM. And he was not the first, the Egyptians knew of it. Mayans and Incas, and polar bears too!.. To fully explain this concept I'd have to go into all kinds of deep philosophy and crap.. or you could just watch this and get the jist of why censorship on the internet, and in general; is bad.

Movies make their profits in the millions at the box office (Theaters). Musicians make money touring and make millions as well. Software and OS's I actually WOULD buy if they were reasonably priced. If windows was $50 I'd buy it every year, and i bet everyone else would too! But not for $200, that's not reasonable, it's greedy, and that's why people say "No. I'm not paying that ludicrous price, I'll just take it then!".. Sorry, i know it's wrong, but that's reality. And reality isn't fair. Or politically correct. It is what it is, bizarre and messed up beyond imagination. Get used to it, and get over it.

Everybody as their own conscious that they have to live with.Sharing is exactly what it is. If I go to the library and copy information from a book is that stealing, or if I buy a book or DVD and lend it out to all my friends is that stealing. If I make a kick-ass music CD mix and pass it on to my buds what would that be. Sharing of information has been around for a long time the only thing now is that the internet is making it a lot easier. PEACE
