Jomal206 - First grow! Cross your fingers!!

my females were also the first to show. you should start to see the hairs where the branches meet the stems.

some of mine took longer than others, i was getting ready to toss my latest female thinking it was a male when i noticed the little hairs, and now its growing buds.

The worst is the 'hermies'. I had to get rid of one yesterday. 4 branches are forming colas and are female, then one damn branch has balls!!

Ohh well.

I'm glad to hear the flushing is finely taking effect jomal, speaking of hermies I think my mediocre has got some seeds in her, however I'm happy about it and hope I find lots more.

I would like to keep this strain alive and I'm not doing to well with the cloning, also I have sampled her and I'm already pleased so a handful of seeds won't hurt me, at least I'll have some decent smoke and have another shot at this strain..

HOOAH!!

Yeah I've started to think about cloning myself Hum....if I wanted to continue this after this grow I would have something to go off of.........but who knows

I think I'm going to wait...if I decide to grow again I'll clone then; but for now I just want to focus on getting a decent grow under my belt

Boy I hope she's a female!! Preflowers everywhere....no balls or hairs though

New pics, Day 31

I started LST on both. The one plant that I considered throwing out due to it's problems is really starting to shine. It's pretty much caught up to the other one height wise....not quite as bushy though

I also topped both of them yesterday....

No signs of sex yet I don't think....I looked over them pretty well. Preflowers are really starting to grow and come in thick, but no hairs or balls yet. I should look where the branches come off the main stem, right?

I just noticed it's been 10 days since my flush....but they seem to be doing well without water. I think I'll give them some water tomorrow....we'll see.....

Comments, feedback, whatever is appreciated

Looks like they are just about ready for a drink. I'd wait a few more days, you can do better underwatering than over watering.

I know it's tough, you feel like you are neglecting the plants, but I've found letting the top get 'dirt dry' before watering is the way to go. I also have a cheap moisture meter to check on the soil. I check it at three depths, if the very bottom is wet, I wate until it 'shows' on the meter around 5-6 before watering.

You did good pulling them through Jomal, great job, buddy!

Thanks yeah sometimes I feel like I'm neglecting them but I know they'll show me that they're stressing if they are...

That's it. I find that you can't say, I'm watering on sunday, wed and fri. You MUST learn the plants and their needs, water being #1. I've never heard anyone lose plants from underwatering but plenty that have overwatered.

Good job Jomal

Day 33, all is well

I gave them a little water yesterday. I also figured out my Christmas plans...I've be leaving for a few days but as soon as I get back I'm starting to flower....so that's 10 more days to veg :) I think they'll be nice and bulky then

I'm getting preflowers on both, no definite signs though yet

Here's my really nice plant

Jomal,

Man thanks for the updates and pictures, they look to be doing very well. That 'damaged' plant looks like it's getting ready to have a ton of colas! Spreading out nicely.

good job man!

Farm Hard

Yes you're right they both have about 4-6 colas forming...they're harder to tell on the healthier plant because the leaves are bigger; they blend in really well!

I also think one is sativa and one is indica....judging by the way they look.....is this correct?
