i recently bought 2 of the EZ8s to replace 700 watts of DIY LEDs in what was my veg room. even with dimming the EZ*s down to the lowest setting i was getting nute deficiencys in some of my faster growing strains. i dont have a lux meter but the difference in light intensity between the two is substantial. i increased my fertigation ppms and frequency and bumped up to the second from lowest dimming setting and the plants are loving it now. i also converted the old veg room to a bloom room and run it on a flip cycle to my other bloom room and moved the veg/mothers to a new location. in the original bloom room i have 2 1000 watt hortilux on quantum ballasts so im eager to get harvest results from both rooms and compare numbers. i run co2 at 1200 and canopy temps in the low 80s with RH about 60%. 3 gallon plastic bags with promix bx and 20% perlite added. i use emerald harvest base nutes at 100% and additives at 50% with a weekly shot of recharge. so far im super happy with my EZ8s and im sure u will be too...congrats on the win!!!make us proud
First, love the drake, second, thanks for the knowledged perspective. I'm only in a tent and I have to keep ripping air through to try to keep it cooler in there so Co2 won't be much good right now. I wonder about humidity for the same reason, but I think if I humidify the room the tents will pull the humidity in.
Right now, cooling is my biggest concern outside of power demands. I'm going to link in a couple different conversations. They are questions for this grow but could also help other newer growers.

if u run 1600 watts of lites on a 120 volt circuit u draw ~13 amps plus 1.1 for existing fan, yore about 15 amps. that leaves 5 amps for 2 more inline fans, a circ fan, and pumps, etc. if youre DWC, totally doable in my opinion. as far as heat, put the EZ8 in the 4x4 and add a carbon filter/fan to the top sleeve outlet in the tent but mount it all outside the tent to maximise headroom. that should handle tent temps depending on room temp. and for RH just humidify the whole room the tents are in... adding humidity can be done super cheap with lots of DIY styles to choose from

The #Ez8 arrived last night, and after staring in awe of it I finally got to work. Assembly couldn't have been much easier, hook the hangers, snap on the light bars, plug in the electrical cord, done. The plug is set up for European use but there was a us plug adapter with it. Runs 100v-277v so 120 or 240 circuit, she runs.
Glad you like it :weed:

So I've been arguing with myself on whether to run autos or photos. Couldn't really come up with an argument for one over the other. So I started my last autos that I didn't breed and I think I may have drown them. They've still got a couple days before I call it. While I've been waiting for the autos to erupt from the soil(first time attempting soil germination... Probably the last) I started a few more photo seeds in hopes of some girls(I cut 2 males last month and i think I'll have another this month). Using the soak and paper towel method, I've got 2 Pineapple Express, 2 Mimosa, 2 Wedding Cake, and 2 Banana OG that have all popped and erupted from their Jiffy pods.

Didn't realize it has been 2 weeks since posting on this thread. But I have not been idle.
First an admission and apology. I'm sorry @MedicGrow, I did not sprout my new girls under your light. The #Ez8 is so powerful I was afraid the new sprouts wouldn't be able to handle it, so I germinated them and gave them a week under about 270ish watts. Once I was pretty sure they sprouts would survive I moved them into the big tent with the Ez8.

So in this lengthy update break I realized I was working redundantly. I had 2 tents on 18&6. My middle tent with currently max 400w and the big Ez8 could easily handle a few more plants. See that floor space? Valuable real estate. So I moved my auto girls in with the seedlings under the Ez8.
The autos were under the 400w light and are about 2.5-3 weeks into flower. This allowed me to breakdown the small tent and pass it on to its next owner.

Here is the tent as it sits. I've got to do the Male purge so not all will make it. But till they preflower there are 3 Mimosa, 2 Wedding Cake, 2 Banana OG, 1 Pineapple Express(fem). 2 Caramelicious auto S1, and 1 Cream Mandarin XL auto. Bit of a tetris game to get them in there.

Ez 8 is a 1000W light comes with dimming function. Hope the dimming can help in next stages. :P :P

There has been much improvement with this update. My 2 Caramelicious are about a month from harvest(pic 1). Their tent mates are starting into some good vegetative growth and I have even started 4 more seeds that will see nothing but the #Ez8. Let me get the tent back in order and I'll put a full tent pic up tomorrow.

So, as I Said in a previous post, the new girls were sprouted under the #Ez8 dimmed to 60%(600w) 57 inches (130cm) from the floor. They had all popped within in 4 days and I put them in their Jiffy pellets on 9-9 and by the 14th all 4 had erupted from their coco. If you look close at the whole tent shot you can see them in the foreground of the tent. But I'll post again with their progressions thus far.

Then came transplant. Grape purple Punch flat died. Not sure what happened, but boom dead. Mellow tone Inn had a glass bowl land on her and she broke sub surface, started wasting away, couldn't bring her back and she died. No pics from this time sorry. The other 2, Pineapple Blue Pops and Pineapple Doc OG, are doing great beautiful formation again and still nice internode spacing.

Well the shoes keep falling. Pineapple Blue Pops, is a boy. He's on the left. Goodbye for now Pineapple Blue Pops. Pineapple Doc OG, on the right, has pistils showing! Time to do some thinning on the other veg girls, flip the 4x4, and see if I can work my current flower girls into the 4X4 and set the 4X3 up for my auto breeding project
