Oh damn. My bad. I didn't think that post went through. I was trying to upload the dark matter but my phone wouldn't do it. Thought I cancelled the post. This website is new to me.

I germed them but to be honest I'm having a hell of a time with them. 3 are above ground. Others are slowly cracking. These are some of the hardest thickest biggest beans I've ever seen. I put them in water as usual and after 24 hours only 3 had sunk. So I put them in promix. Beans popped at the same time are all above ground and taking off. Jaws mentioned they were 30 days old when I got them. Not sure how long before you should germ them? I will keep updated. Will post the dark matter from my cpu later

"They" say that seeds should cure for a minimum of 30 days. I have popped fresher beans then that, so I honestly dont see that as a problem, but still wouldnt rule it out.

I have a few other Chem crosses going right now (from different breeders) and I can say that I have had dificulty with all of them with germination. It might be a characteristic with Chem - having hard seeds, for all I know. For example, I have some Chemical Purple beans and I physically had to assist removing the shells from all of them. They were all germinated and about an inch tall, but the shells would not come off. After almost a week of spraying with water, i finally removed them using a razor blade and 2 pairs of tweezers.

Well the LED just isnt cutting it, making the poor girls get all stretchy n shit. Im running outta fucking room. Going to have to set up another veg cab by 2moro. Didnt want to this early, buuuuut I popped ALOT of fucking beans. Not sure why I ended up popping so many, i just couldnt make up my mind and said fuck-it!!! ^^^^ those are my Chem Soda Cookies & all of the Boston Baked Beans in there.

I have 8 of the CSC above soil. I gently spread open the peet pellets of the other 2 to have a look-see. One is very healthy, should break soil by morning. The last one is a dud.

Here is my other Veg Cab looking really cramped. I might just take a few clones from my Purple Kush, make a new mum and throw her into flower to free up space. Or maybe just let her go, hoping to find a new keeper in this seed run.... Not sure yet. Fuck, maybe just give cuts to all my favorite peeps here on RIU, so if I decide I want her back in the future - she will be passed around enough then I kno where to find her! ;)

Anyways, from seed we got:
-Fire Charm
-Fire Balls
-Chemical Purple
-Louis XIII OG
-Double White Cheese
-Fat Grape Cheese
-Cherry Bomb

nice lineup! you getting heat in the led? i got seedlings under led with no stretch.
No, I have the exhaust on, bout 74 in the box right now... Only a small 75watter, as you can see in the pic, very little spread. I usually use this LED for fresh cuts, figured I would try on seedlings...

Not sleeping well lately, might just stay up all night and set up another box. Maybe throw a 400 up dimmed 50% for now.

I still have to put all of your beans into solos yet. They are all still just sittin in the plugs with roots bustin out everywhere

I never realized how boring a single strain journal can be!

So I moved some things around for the time being. I have all seedlings under a single 400 watt mh.

I removed my PK mom to make more room. I had taken one cut about a week ago, had some nice roots after 4-5 days, and began some new veg growth, so it was safe to pull mom. I took another 16 cuts from mom, transplanted to a larger pot and im gonna throw her into 12/12 tonight.

I really need some of these seedlings to start taking off cause i will have an empty flower cab in about 2 weeks!

Not to side track the thread but....

I make my own seeds all the time, almost every batch I will hit a few branches with pollen.
I have had great results by putting my "cured" seeds in the fridge for 2 weeks.
The difference of like 12 of 20 popping before the 2 week cold period, to 19/20 after two week cold period.
These numbers are examples, but from my experience with seeds there is a big difference.

Hey guys. I haven't posted because I was waiting to see what happened. I am left with 2 survivors. The third one broke soil, needed "seedgery" so I gently took it off with a razor blade. Hard brown weirdness in the shell? 7 others never even popped. I was so baffled I opened some of them up. Never seen this before but inside the shells were hard, dark brown grapenut looking things. Like so....
IMG_5341_2.jpg
Hard as a rock......
I was immediately suspicious when the seeds didn't sink after 24 hours. Many viable beans sink immediately, or very soon after the dunk.

I was sure it was my fault and felt awful. But I can't explain the 100% germ I got at the same time with these other beans. Same conditions. Same time. Same EVERYTHING.

???

And before anyone thinks Jaws gear is bunk..... Here's what I just took down.

Dark Matter and Alien Cookies... Which both did amazingly well.

SOOOO.....Anyone have any theories?

I'm gonna email jaws and let him know what happened. Not in ANY way am I placing blame or trying to say anything negative. I've run several Jaws crosses and they are fire in every aspect. If anything I would guess it's my fault since your beans were fine. Truly baffled on this one.

No worries brother, you kept her on "track"

I hear ya, I make alot of beans myself.and have my own methods of curing and storing. But honestly I have done very little research on the subject so I didnt want to give my opinion and have it come off as fact. I just dry & cure the seeded flowers exactly as I would dry & cure unseeded. Around the 3-4 week mark, I then package them up in air tight, light proof containers and add 1 grain of unbleeched rice per 10 seeds and then into the vegetable drawer in the fridge...

I have a very high germination rate with my own creations.

Hey brother, def keep posting in the thread. I wish there were more of us testing, would make this thread a bit more active!

Wow man, i have never seen that? I wonder how cold a seed would have to get in order for it get destroyed and actually begin to breakdown. I know the week that Jaws sent me my testers, it was like -20* outside...

The only thing that I have seen that somewhat resembles that was an entire pack of beans I germinated a year or so ago. I germed a few packs, but the one strain, as the seed would split there was brown rotting plant material. Upon closer inspection, the beans were full of some sort of Larvae! Only time i ever experienced anything like that.

Wow, those are some amazing plants! Great job!!!

I would def email Jaws about that

OK. Maybe it wasn't actually my fault. Time to go spray. :/

And thanks for the compliments on the pics guys.
