Javadog's Next Adventure

I should add that there are several in the main list above that
are only there until I bump them for space.

The Jack Herer was given to me and did not prove out. I have
been thinking of re-trying it, but too many better breeds are
in front of it.

The HSO Lemon Thai Kush just was not strong. I wonder if it
needs 12 weeks or something....I gave it the full 10.

My HSO Blue Dream is much harder, as it had perfect structure and
a big yield, but the buds are just very good. I took the Sour Kosher
right after it and that kicks it butt, strength-wise. Just the genetic
lottery and I lost that time.

I am going to toss the HSO Blue Dream and try the new local clone variety.

Thanks Bass! I hope to see how your plants end up.

Yeah Z, I am using Homer Buckets, 5 gallon, with standard hempy material.

They can get pretty light on me, but I never see droop. :0)

JD
I took a few pics this am and a day or 2 ago as well.
They were flipped to 12/12 sunday night.
I have already noticed some response from them.

These are some of the healthiest plants I have grown in a LONG time.

Ill post a pic or 2 here if theres any interest.

Please do Bass. This is interesting.

Who has his RDWC system up and running too. Very cool.

JD
I have to say I didnt take any pics of the hempys, and honestly they are drowning under the other girls.

My phone wont connect to my pc so I am struggling to add pics but Ill figure it out

You can see that my sativas arent as happy with some leaf curling.
Im not sure what I need to do to make em happy lol.
I do think that since they share a common res, I wont be able to make em all happy at the same time.

I forgot to mention that one of them (left front middle) is a BBK.
I am gonna mover her actually now since she is shorter than her closest plants.

I am surprised how short my SLH's are as well.
They pineapples are tall though, and esp the one that I broke the other side

This stuff is hard to compute.

My SLH exploded straight up, was chopped low, and the stump
just up and died.

....but the clones are behaving very normally. Go figure.

Well maybe because they are clones or maybe they will suddenly stretch since they are in 12/12 now.

Or they could have been mislabeled.
They do have sativa leaves though.

jesus christ jd you are running a cannabis day care and college! i find it to be like having a pet or kids, so IMO ur hand a real full but you are doing it and doing it well!

i am starting to get cloning down and such, have a few contacts that i can get them from. would love to go to cali and bring home a ton! only thing i dont like about getting clones from people are sometimes they come with unwanted residents like thrips and such.

a buddy has a cut of deadhead og for me but he also has thrips..im thinking about getting a strong non organic pesticide to blast the clone with. i hate dealing with the fungus gnats that came with the ffof soil so any more pest are not needed!

hope all is well and keep the posts coming!

I really hate those gnats as well.
Spider mites are the DEVIL though!!!!!

I made a cloner from a 5gal(19Ltr) bucket with lid, a pump, 3/4 (19mm) pvc, sprinkler heads, and foam collars.
I am going to add timer for maybe 1 min on, and 5 min off.
Also going to use either bennies or the DM Zone in there that Jig turned me on to.
I usually get soft stems and rot, and thats the reason for my coming changes.

Thanks GD.

It is weird that things seem as quiet as they do.

I got past a phone interview with a large tech company local to me.

It went very, very well. I am an old-hand at what I do now. LOL

I hope to land something, then the merry-go-round can keep spinning.

I will need more dough for college in a few years too, but this
is hardly coming as a surprise.

I am also starting all manner of mushroom species. I will be offering
medicinal species online and edibles in local farmers markets.

On the cloning issue, I love the Burpee Seed Tray. ...but have also
found that some species just benefit from starting right in soil too.

I will be taking clones of the new, and very exotic, clones that
I got the other day.

The Dubtech7, the Adub, the Casey Dog, these all sound interesting.

...and it will be very cool to finally put clone up against seed, as I will
be flowering an HSO Green Crack shortly, and I now have a clone-only
Green Crack to compare it to.

I also got the GDP, Chocolope, and Tahoe OGs which are all well known clones.

I am going to need to get a new GSC and a Cherry Pie, and then I will be good. :0)

Oh yeah, and I have contacted a local Querkle seller too. LOL

I love the cloner ideas Bass. When I hear brown/soft roots these days, I always
think of the lacto-bacillus. Are you making that culture too?

I liked the rock-wool + heater method as posted by Mad Hamish recently too.

Take care,

JD

Not cultures or bacterias yet, but I do plan to pursue them later.
I am still trying to learn and perfect hydro lol.

I need to take baby steps. ;)

P.S. I missed the rockwool - heater thing...

Mad where is that link? Was it here? I looked in the tea thread...

I just really want someone else to chime in with "Yeah, I poured some
Lacto in and all the slime is gone!" This is what I saw...extreme.

I am still scared after I tried a tea in my soil-less grow last yr and it went anerobic, and was worse that before.
I think I didnt have enough bubbles, and too many ingredients though....less is more I have been learning!

That is the really amazing thing about the Lactos is that they
do their thing in both aerobic and anaerobic environments.

You should try making a compost tea....let it get real gloppy, and
then put some lacto in. It is practically depressing if you are
aiming for goop!

This way you can see the effect in a separate container, without
risking an on-going grow.

I make my own keifer and add 1tsp per gallon for water or feed. Works better than root excelerant. Great as a foliar bio control and symbioticly enhances SAR.

sup bassman! i was instructed to leave my cloner on 24/7 no timer.. so far after going on 2 weeks only 1 clone rooted, 1 is starting to, and the others look like they have stem rot or will soon..not a trace of root.
i decided to pick up vermiculite to try and clone in and i got some sphagnum peat moss as well i can mix with perlite? to try and clone?? lol... also got 2 in rockwool
makes me wonder though, should i have put the cloner on a timer but then i think not because you dont want air going in the stem. people get clones to root in water so i doubt air is needed so i've kept it with no time, but i just dont know!

anyone with insight please help! would love to hear from those with 90% clone rate!

jd how u clone again?! pure perlite?!?!
