Javadog's Next Adventure

Thanks ADT.

I am using the standard hempy formula for this Crop.
(3 parts Perl to 1 part Verm.....be well Mo!)

I am using the standard Botanicaire line of nutes, with
Big Bud/Overdrive/B-52 as an additive.

My soil and tea work, seen elsewhere, is mostly for the
vegetable garden....though the teas are fed to the plants too.

The trichs will get the final word. I am taking it a week at a time.

Cannaventure states that PB-BX is ready at 49-56 days.

We will see.

Thanks for taking the time bro.

I am interested to see after you harvest if you like the taste better soil or hempy and how your yields compare...I debate hempys every time I visit your thread lol. Being able to wash and reuse the medium would be a great cost saver, but I do love the taste of organic soil weed.

Well, so far, I have been dumping my hempys into the garden out back.

I will see about the taste of true hempys soon....very soon. Actually, I could
wait another month probably, but the smell continues to increase. It is still cool
outside the cave, but I will need to be watchful....smellful?

I attached the second filter today, for smell emergencies:
SecondFilter.jpg

It really pulls the sides of the tent in, and I removed the boards that had held them out.

This is zero issue when I have only the eight, very tall, ladies in the tent. It was annoying when
I did my 6X6 SOG though. I am going to find another, lighter, system to do this.

The fan is howler though...I love my Whisperline. :0) It got better when I taped on the ducting
and hung it.

Take care,

JD

I used GH 3 part with my hempys and floralicious and molasses, and I think it tasted as good as the soil counterpart growing beside it.
I didnt do organic soil though so that might be the difference.
I have never knowingly had real organic buds though.

I will go back to FFOF if the hempy buds seem harsh.

...but even then I will have one more hempy crop that
I have already made and are ready for the tent to try
adding things to to improve the flavor.

I am thinking that the good taste is in the genes....the good
smell certainly seems to be. :0)

Hey Java why is there plastic covering half of that filter?
I was thinking it was only half full, or are you using a half at a time to make it last longer...?

Well, you are pretty much right on both counts.

I added it initially because the end closer to the intake
was being worked harder.

It is a DIY filter that did a very decent job. I think that
the professional sources have better sources of better
quality carbon than I have. (I used aquarium pellets)

Again, it is a serious design (off-site link), and it did
work for the first two grows.

...and, now, it is only about 3/4 full and the cover
forces it to blow through the carbon.

Hey,

I just wanted to drop a note: I am pretty sure that I saw
a pistil on the Cheese Surprise.

Breeder's Boutique will be in the tent soon!

JD

P.S. I am going to take the young plants out of the clone/seedling
table and give them a good examination tonight.

I checked the other regular bean plants and I think that
my oldest Psycho Killer might be male. The Dog was not
showing yet.

Here is the Cheese Surprise pre-flower:

The TGA four and the HSO three plus Purple Wreck are doing well,
in 6" pots now, but still weeks away from being ready to check for sex.

I made a small diy filter and it was crap.
I chickened out on making the one u have, and bought one.
I plan to refill it when the time comes with carbon from eBay maybe

Hey team,

I was out in the backyard and I saw that I have a new fruiting
of mushrooms in an outdoor bed.

This time it is Grifola frondosa, the *very* delicious and nutritional Maitake.

This is how my plants start out:

I have been having great success with all the Brasicas:

If you want to grow Celery, then do not go the freakin difficult route of from seed:

Instead just bury the butt of one you buy:

I had to sprout my Coffee plant indoors in my seed tray too:
