Pence: Trump and I may never 'see eye to eye' on events of Jan. 6
Former Vice President Mike Pence on Thursday offered his most extensive comments to date on the Jan. 6 Capitol riots, calling it a "dark" and "tragic" day in history, but accused Democrats of using the events that day to divide the country.

Pence, in a speech in Hillsborough County, N.H., acknowledged he and former President Trump may never agree on what transpired that day, a nod to Trump's defense of the rioters at the Capitol.

"As I said that day, Jan. 6 is a dark day in the history of the United States Capitol," Pence said. "But thanks to the swift action fo the Capitol Police and federal law enforcement, violence was quelled. The Capitol was secured. And that same day, we reconvened the Congress and did our duty under the Constitution and the laws of the United States," Pence said.

"You know, President Trump and I have spoken many times since we left office. And I don't know if we'll ever see eye to eye on that day. But I will always be proud of what we accomplished for the American people over the last four years," he said to applause.

"And I will not allow Democrats or their allies in the media to use one tragic day to discredit the aspirations of millions of Americans, or allow Democrats or their allies in the media to distract our attention from a new administration intent on dividing our country to advance their radical agenda," Pence continued.

"My fellow, Republicans, for our country, for our future, for our children and our grandchildren, we must move forward, united."

Of course they see the events differently.

Trump - "Off with his head."

Pence - "But I need it!"

Pence is trying to walk on the fence, but Trump will push him off of it and out of the race for the 2024 republican nomination. I hope he gets the republican 2024 nomination and runs against Joe, it would be a slaughter, especially if Trump spoke out against him from his prison cell. If NY state nails his ass and has him in a NY state prison, it won't matter what the next republican presidential nominee promises Trump about a pardon for his federal crimes. The only thing Trump and his base will want from a nominee is a full presidential pardon for Trump, even though it won't help with his NY crimes.

I figure the feds will nail his ass for the Jan 6th insurrection at a minimum and will give Rudy a deal for it and other things, like the Ukrainian affair. Trump was the center of many conspiracies and to get guys like Pompeo, Barr, DeJoy and others for criminal conspiracy, they will need to indict Donald.

Maybe he can sell Trump's ass for time off, if the feds have him over a big enough barrel and they offer him a sweet enough deal. He might be disappointed however, I don't think the feds will want to pile on Trump, he only has a few years of life left and it will probably be spent in a NY state prison. If DeJoy confessed to an election conspiracy charge with Trump, he might cut a deal to avoid jail time, but the resulting lawsuits from thousands of businesses and citizens over deliberately fucking up the mail will clean him out financially. So, the feds might not want to buy what he's selling (Donald's ass) and he would open himself up to getting financially ruined, by confessing to a conspiracy to deliberately impede the mail.

BTW, he also lied to congress and probably the FBI about his political contributions too.

Here is another lie to congress.

Florida opera singer charged with hitting officer with flagpole during Capitol riot
Audrey Southard played Carnegie Hall seven-and-a-half years before the events of Jan. 6.

An opera singer who once played Carnegie Hall participated in the Jan. 6 riot at the U.S. Capitol, where she attacked a federal police officer with a flag pole, federal authorities said this week.

Audrey Ann Southard, 52, of Spring Hill, Florida, was charged Tuesday with a host of offenses, including assault on a federal officer, after she was captured on video yelling, "Tell Pelosi, we are coming for that b----," according to an affidavit supporting her arrest.

Southard's alleged role at the Capitol, where protesters egged on by then-President Donald Trump's unsubstantiated claims of election fraud tried to overturn the 2020 election results, occurred on a remarkably different stage than the one she graced seven-and-a-half years earlier.

The soprano performed at New York City's Carnegie Hall, one of the classical music world's most revered venues, on May 2, 2013, records showed and a spokeswoman for the concert hall said Friday.

Southard performed that day with Finnish pianist Liisa Pimia, concert hall records showed. A critic said her performance was "attractive, unforced," adding, "I was glad to hear this fine singer moving ahead in her artistry."

Southard made it to the famous stage with performances the previous year in the Ibla Grand Prize Bellini International Vocal Competition. It was unclear where Southard's career went after Carnegie Hall.

Her LinkedIn account says she teaches voice and piano under the business name Voxx Mechanix LLC, based in Spring Hill. She could not be reached by phone Friday, but she said in an email that she did not wish to comment.

"Thank you for contacting me. DON'T EVER DO IT AGAIN! Have a nice day. Audrey," she wrote.

I sincerely hope he gets the republican nomination in 2024, Donald will pull the rug out from under him from prison and fuck the republicans by keeping his base home. I'm sure Joe would be delighted to run against "Hang Mike Pence", it would be an ass whipping of epic proportions and would affect the house and senate races too.

Well, at least at his sentencing his lawyer can say he cooperated fully with the FBI and took responsibility for his actions. Believe it or not, all this will help quite a bit with his sentence, if nothing else the judge will pity him!

Warnings coming out of Israel that Bibi might try a January 6th style coup.
They have a parliamentary system and the president of Israel would shut him down. Monarchs, governor generals and presidents in constitutional parliamentary democracies have very few actual powers, one of them is the removal of a prime minister and his government from power. If Boris tried such bullshit in the UK, the Queen would simply tell him to resign and someone else in the cabinet would become the next PM, if he defied her and tried to hang on, off to the tower of London he goes on her orders, and those orders would be followed.

January 6th was about killing the opposition and seizing power, they were incompetent so it failed, doesn't really matter the political system if that's the goal.

It was always a fine line when you have dictators desperate to keep the con going.

Best of luck to everyone in the grips of one.

What are the chances that this goes back to 9/11? Between Saudi's/Netenyahu/Trump+Giuliani/Putin, and the rise of the conspiracies online.

There would be civil war in Israel if Bibi tried that, he would have to kill the president of Israel too.

In America, it might have worked, if they had a trained and organized force with a plan and not a disorganized mob of lunatics and morons. Kill the congress off and the vice president, then Trump would be the only government remaining, the SCOTUS would sit on it's hands in legal confusion until they came for them too, then they would also die. A coup by the military would be the only way out and they would start by shooting Trump and every Trump supporter they could find ASAP.
