just wait until the crystals get creamy and 90% of the hairs have turned red. i know mikado grows fast. usually like 45 days. i'll call my friend who grows willy and see if he knows about jade mikado.

I got my Jade Mikado seeds in june,so started the seeds late and was pleases with the outcome.they are meduim tall stout plants, sativa dominant i believe. I was worried about how late they would be because most of my others(early pearl, early misty, blueberry and afghani, and they all initially sexed earlier, but the mikado flowered in about only 45-50 days and came on very strong .Harvested the second week in Sept.6-11.The dense buds were very resinous and smoke nice and smooth with a slight citrus taste.I defineatly recommend this variety on a commercial basis, distinctfully creamy light colored ,hashy and frosty when dry, with medium mold resistance ,needs to be dryed properly for aroma and taste.Defineate better buzz than most early strains .Reminds me of a kush in smoking it. Thanks willy jack seeds.Approximatly 1/2 lb per plant on plants that were not transplanted till July 1,so next year i hope to get 1 lb a piece.Best of luck fellow growers-try this one.
