Jack's First Grow

I'm starting this journal pretty late. I wish I would have done this from the start but I guess better late than never. My babies are now almost a month old from germ. I'm vegging under t8 florescent light with no nutrients at the moment unless a problem arises and I fix it organically. My soil is not ideal by any means but I got into a bind because my mix wasn't done cooking yet so I'm using 50-50 mix of oceans forest, happy frog, bunch of chunky perilite and about 2 cu ft of ewc in my current mix. I transplanted them from solo cups to 3 gallon containers. My original mix will be ready by the time I make the final transplant to 5 gallon pots. I have ran into trouble a few times but thanks to members advice on here my babies never skipped a beat.

I finishing my grow room tomorrow and will be moving them all there to finish vegging under a 1000w mh and I will be running 2 1000w vented hps for flowering using SCROG. I can add more lights if need be depending on how much screen they decide to take up. I have 13 plants and Im figuring each 1000w light on a 4x4 area. Hopefully this gets everyone up to speed on whats been going on this past month. I will post pics and keep up on my journal.

Finished my grow room today. After building my SCROG setup I neededore lights than originally anticipated. I'm now running 4 1000w hps vented lights. I set each set of 2 lights with their own 6" 220 cfm fan. This cool air comes from my cellar through the lights and I tied into my garage to heat it being its clean air. My air circulation/odor scribber is a 6" 440 cfm. Air comes in through a filter box that is normally used for house furnaces so its filtered ie no bugs. I set my carbon filter 6" from the ceiling on the far side of the room so air is pulled clear across the room and that filtered air is pushed straight up into the attic. I kept all the lights as close as possible so that I could benefit from cross/reflective light. The entire 14x14 room from floor to ceiling is orca grow film. I know there is some debate on this stuff but there is an insane difference from flat white to it. Its so bright in there with all my lights running that it's almost unbearable without dark sunglasses. On each corner I mounted a 16" oscillating fan. As far as the eelectrical goes I wired in 4 20 amp breakers so no one circuit has more than 12 amp draw on it. I also have a small air conditioner incase if excessive heat build up and to help with humidity. I will post pics tomorrow once I have all my babies tucked under their screens. I plan on letting them fill their screens about 70% before I flip them to a 12/12 schedule. I'm hoping that since I'm moving them from fluorescent lights to mh that it won't take long. They are growing quicky now as it is. This morning I woke up to them in my lights! I always keep them 2" or so from the bulbs so that's some impressive growth in a 24 hour period. I will post pics as promised as soon as I can.
