I have their seedling starter bag, one part, but have yet to use it much. When I first tried it I saw faster growth from running 1/2 strength 3-2-1 then I did from the Starter bag. But ill try again now on my new seedlings whom have only seen water to this day & report back.

Has anyone tried the finish? I ordered a bag and want to try it this run
I've used it once so far on the last cycle. But, there is no calcium in it so you have to watch that. I had zero issue with no deficiencies personally. I noticed a increase of terpenes and increased trichome flush on the plants. I think it might be the increased sulfur that did it. But, it was noticeable and seemed to work well. We shall see on this upcoming round.

strangely enough i just sent my contact at JRPeters that very question: the Finisher seems like it should be awesome for mid to late bloom except for the lack of Ca. tons of Sulfur. if you have to add cal nit to add cal, seems like it ruins the 7 value of N.

It says right on the bag to watch the Ca deficiency. I use well water. Haven't tested it but it reads around 30ppm. So I assume there might be a tad there. But, anyways I showed zero issues and it worked well. The recommended Jacks chart says to run it for 1-2 weeks before flush so thats not really a super long time. Possible a foliar application would suffice a time or two for Ca issues if they arose.

I mix the nutrients in a cup of hot water from the sink. Once it’s dissolved I pour that into my reservoir. Easy peasy
I go 1 step more to speed it up.. i do the jacks and mag in a jar with warm water from the sink (i'm filly buckets anyway, no wasted time) and i put the cal straight in the bucket... let them both sit for a couple of minutes while i open my tents and such.. toss the jars contents into the bucket, stir and PH.. job done.

he replied quickly!

So, we typically recommend using this formula for the final 1-2 weeks before harvest (or clear-water flush if you do flush). We have found the plant's demand for calcium at this growth stage is fairly low and it is okay to go without calcium for this short period. Let me know if any questions or concerns!

A finish mix for dry nutes?! Jesus Christ, children!

The whole fucking point of dry nutes is to be able to change your own ratios without buying more shit!

I use Chem Grow dry nutes (www.hydro-gardens.com) rather than Jacks but the mix is similar, I use the 3-2-1 ratio for veg and early bloom.

Then for peak to late bloom, use 2 parts mix, 2 parts calcium nitrate, 1 part epsom salt aka mag sulfate and half a part MKP, that's monopotassium phosphate (0-52-32). Dilute to desired EC, then pH to taste.

Y'all are making this way too fucking complicated.

yes and no. I personally find it fun to experiment and try to push the plants as far as i can and developing massive root balls, but see your point

NO.

Mix your calcium nitrate into solution in a separate bucket from everything else or you risk flocculation with sulfur from epsom salt and other sulfates in your mix.

Humic
Correct and it has little to do with the nutrient mix.
Supplements are a different story. Bacteria, enzymes, binders like humic and fulvic all play a big roll for a massive root system. But you can go too far and root bound your plants.

Im growing in coco loco and i can't get my finger into the medium past my finger nail without tearing through lots of roots, the medium feels almost solid
