I’ve been wanting to ask this for awhile now: do you hold it?

Hi from an ’old’ hippie :hump:.

In the ’olden’ days, it was the same; nothing was different, and we knew nothing different either ;).

So, comes my question. We also all smoked, and held in the smoke for as long as we could, hoping the longer we held it, the more stoned we’d get…that was the thinking, anyway.

Along comes the younger generation, and new thoughts. This comes from my nephew who graduated from college in agriculture ahead of going into the cannabis industry (smart kid!). I sure wish we had that opportunity when we were that age. wow, it’s nice to see!

Anyway, this whiz kid *just kidding, he’s a nice guy- only making fun* says you don’t have to ‘hold it’ (as in hold in the smoke) to get the most benefit from the smoke to get stoned. I had never heard it before, so thought I’d ask. It would be nice since I’m getting older and coughing more. But until I find out some more ‘votes’ on the subject…or, something to back it up, I’m still holding it :p! If I could get by without it, I’m sure it would be better for me, so answer away!

thanks for your opinions as well as your facts as well (even better!)

take care & Merry Christmas! :peace:

Nope, or very briefly. Is there a reason you first posted in February of 2015 and didn't post again until March of 2017? Is there a story? I'm Curious.

I like holding it. Nothing like a blast to the face and holding a big old cloud in as long as you can and coughing your lungs up that’s how I wake up
That’s one of my reasons for finally asking. I have COPD, and do cough even with a small toke these days. But, I totally agree with you and @Rurumo that it has to be better to get a larger toke and hold it longer……just makes more sense.

You know more than I do about that. I hadn’t looked at my history. I do know that my first grow was 2017, so I may have looked up the site back in 2015 (now I’m curious what that one was about), and looked again when I was ready to grow. You have me curious.

Darn, I was hoping you might have an interesting story involving hobbits. Nothing like a Christmas hobbit tale. Anyway with COPD seriously consider edibles.

Looked at the old posts.

I did originally try to grow in 2014, 15 & 16. None of those made it. The first two were ‘chopped’ down at the base when they were a little over a foot tall. Both of those were planted straight into the ground.
The next year, we planted in containers, and they grew about 2 feet tall, and even got buds (not autoflower), and then broke at the base. Since those were in pots, I was able to tell what it was….termites. So, the threads I posted were about that, and I learned about Dominion II, which we’ve now sprayed every year around the grow site before planting and haven’t had any problem since.

So, that answered yours (and my) questions about that :).

Oh I'm sorry to hear that. Losing crops is unpleasant.

I am changing to hash caps for my hash. I’ve also bought a Volcano for my herb, which makes it more gentle to smoke.

Yes, a Christmas hobbit tale would have been nice :D.… more fun than termites:p
I haven't found my Volcano to be any easier on my lungs. It's even more irritating than dabs! I was surprised by that. But I'm happy it seems to work for you. Please keep an eye out for hobbit stories for me. I'm not interested in termites, Happy Holidaze.

Or at least switch to vaping. I was always a joint man, but I have not smoked anything in a year. I vape everything now. I absolutely prefer it now, but the best part is, my lungs do not wheeze at all any more.
