I've been trying to clone for the past two weeks and can't seem to get it right.

I cut stems with at least two set of leaves and some new growth, place them in soaked rockwool which sits in a mix solution on sensi A,B at 200PPM and use clones on my cutting. I place them in a clone dome with a heat mat under and have an LED at 680 PAR right above on 24/7. Can't get them to root! What's up vets? Help me with a simple solution. I have all the needs but need guidance.

Are you cloning old enough growth? Sometimes it can be difficult to get really fresh growth rooted.

Are you cutting with brand new uncoated razor blades or something similar?

are you giving them enough time to root. Patience?

what kind of lighting is the mom/donor under?

hmmm only thing i do different is no heat mat and i use root riot plugs. Other than that only thing i can think is your mat may be too hot or some strains just take a few weeks .Are the cuttings still healthy looking?

I use side branches that are about 5-6 inches.

I cut the clone, put in a cup of water until all clones are cut
then I remove the lower 3 inches of growth on the clone
after all that's done, I cut the clone again above the current cut
i then dip in the gel for about 30 seconds..m
put in coco solo cup and water with 5.8ph

cut, dip in clone gel, put into party cup with soil, place zip lock bag over top, wait 10 days to root. works everytime.

oh kay i just everybody suggestions.. so u can not just cut the clone and let it sit in water for a couple of days maybe a week., until it form its own roots.?

I would think, original cloning techniques were most likely leaving a cutting in water till roots show.
Simply adding a rooting hormone i.e. Cloning solution, up the game substantially.
then raise the temp to 82 and raise RH 0ver 70% either with individual hoods or a single large hood.

I have never used a cloning machine, just cut the little bastards,
give them a haircut and stick them in a 1" cube under a humidity dome.
I use Olivia's at 1/4 strength mixed with PH correct water and mist 3-4 times a day
24/7 lighting from a 95 watt T5 fixture

Go to YouTube search hyroot. I have a cloning tutorial video using fresh aloe vera gel as cloning gel.

How long for roots is typical with the AV gel?
on average 5-7 days. A few times a couple took 10 days. That's without any plugs, rooting directly in soil. If using rapid rooters I'd imagine rooting time would be faster. With mine after 10 -14 days from dipping cutting into aloe, party cup is filled with roots and ready to transplant. My cheese og, I had 2 cuttings root in few days sitting in a cup of water. That's the only strain and time that's happened. They were clones off the mother plant from seed.

the tutorial is at the beginning of one of the t5 videos.
