Hey guy, I've done organics for a while and had great results but i'm planning on doing a dwc grow this round for some larger yields. I want to know what u guys think about my so called plann. I'm going to use Canna Flora A and B along with hydroguard and cal mag. Going to try and keep it somewhat simple for my first time. Also can I use this cal mag from general organics or does it have to be for hydroponics? If there is anything u guys would add or if there is something Im not doing right I'd love to hear it. Just looking for some good info. Thanks.

You don't need cal/mag unless you are using ro water generally, even then you may not need it, should be enough in base Canna nutes, that being said look into Jacks nutrients, WAY cheaper (like a ton) and have had excellent results. Jacks Hydroponic base, Jacks Calcium Nitrate and epsom salt (magnesium sulfate). Very clean nutrient line. You can add fulvic acid every few weeks as well as a chelator. You can look into adding microbes (teas etc) as well for additional benefits/health but would require res changes more often in dwc imo.

I used Canna line (complete line including boost) for a few years and had great results with it.. switched to Jacks 321 a number of months ago (also tried mega crop with good results just not as clean for hydro (humid/kelp/molasses maybe in it too), I am kicking myself for wasting literally thousands of dollars on Canna when Jacks has been performing just as good if not better. Great video on jacks here.

Many organic nutes (if not all?) are only available to the plant via microbial breakdown/waste.. so unless you have an organic system organic nutes are a no no in hydroponics.

Ohh also, keep the water cool, use a chiller if need be, try to keep it under ~70f to help reduce chances of root rot and to keep oxygen levels up in the water. Higher the water temp the lower amount of oxygen it can hold.

That’s a good system, there are many. For instance, I use Oasis Hydro 16-4-17 from the folks that make the Jack’s line. I add Ca nitrate and iron dtpa to it to make a stock solution, which is Part A. Then I mix Epsom salt and Monopotassium phosphate together in solution for Part B. I add 20 milliliters of each part per gallon of water = easy money. That’s maybe deeper than you want to go, but it is not rocket science, it’s plant science, lol. There is nothing magical in any of those bottles, of course.

Many ways to skin this cat. Check out Mega Crop, too.

I run RDWC and use canna aqua vega and canna aqua flores both are A and B mixes.. above says unless you RO water calmag isn't needed well that's not really correct..
I use calmag with tap water because my tap water is very clean only 37ppm and i suffer with deficiencies (calcium mainly) mid to late flower which stops this...

Anyway my line up of nutrients is like this.

Canna aqua vega for veg.
Canna aqua flores for flower.
Canna pk13/14 through flower till about week 6/7 of flower.
Canna Boost from second week or first signs of flower.
Canna Calmag all the way through at 1/2 strength ish..
Canna Rhizotonic first few weeks of veg and first 2 weeks of flower.
Advance nutrients B52 through veg and upto 5/6 week of flower.
Advanced nutrients overdrive for last 2 weeks of flower.
Liquid silicon while they are still in vegetative growth.

I run 2 x 600w hid light hps through flower and with the above nutrients usually get between 7oz and 10oz of dry hard buds.

Happy Growing
