Items Need For First Grow ?? Pls Help

im gonna be ordering the main things ill need to get my system started, since im kinda cash strapped a little, im looking for the main things ill need till i can order the remaining items April 1st, the seeds alone are gonna take 2/3 weeks to get so none the less ill have time, im gonna be doing a flood and drain system already know all the items ill need for the system, gonna be using 400w mh/hps for first grow

Main Items I Think Ill Need

Rapid rooters 50 pack
6x6x6 Rockwool ( using cubes alone on table no hydroton ect )
400w MH/HPS
Hydrofarm Germanation station with heatmat and lid
Spray Bottle
Ph Up/Down ( not sure if ill need yet )
Nutes ( dunno what type and not sure if ill need right away yet either )
Temp/Humid Guage ( not sure if i need to hold off on this either



Other Items ill be purchasing on April 1st

Mylar for covering the wall
some type of vent system
maybe a grow tent
fans


again im looking for all the input i can get so i can make my order tonight, theres no local hydro stores around my area so im forced to order online, just take into consideration on items you list that ill need is i wont be recieving the seeds till 2/3 weeks cause ive heard thats how long it usualy takes, but once i get em i wanna start asap and get the ball rolling, thanx for the input that anyne gives

do you already have a veg room ??? if your on about growing from clones only you are going to need a veg room and a flower room as once you change to a 12/12 cycle the mothers will flower in the same room. the essentials to start you off with ebb nd flow. res, flower tray, pump/ your seeds and growing mediums you said rockwool and root cubes, hygrometer measures humidity thermometer for temp get a meter with both they aint expensive. get a starter box set of nutes. ph testing kit. essential to keep a balanced ph for the plants. once you get this test your tap water see what ph it is. then get either ph up or ph down should not need both. your light obviously and fans. mylar or tent?? have you really thought this through have you done your research? take your time before jumping in at the deep end and possibly killing your babies. where are you going to grow whats the space like how many plants do you want to grow? you need to think about the things the plants need. they like the warmth so need to be able to keep the temp fairly stable humidity needs to be fairly constant aswell between 40-60% debatable. and you need to change the air in your room roughly 30 times an hour. so intake and outlet fans should be used. my advise is get your set up and build your room ready. get it up and running and see if you need to make tweeks i.e. cant stress enough about doing research. hope to have helped

Get an EC Meter as well. You don't need to get the most expensive one around. I just bought an EC Meter and PH Meter for my second grow. I used test drops for ph during my first grow and no EC meter at all. It makes it really hard to diagnose problems if you don't know what your ph and ppm is. Sounds like you have good lighting, I used all CFLs for my first grow and really regret it. I just bought a 400 Watt HPS for my Flowering Area. I will use all the CFLs I have in my Veg. Area, except the 125 Watt 2700K, which I'll use as supplemental lighting in my Flowering Area.
It sounds like you have the essentials covered. For nutes, I used General Hydro 3 part series in the beginning, then switched to their Flora Nova series instead, which I like better. The only additives I used the first time around was cal mag plus. I will be using other supplements this time out. Definitely get BioRoot or something similar.

ya im gonna look for a cheap decent EC Meter and a ph meter or if the price is right get an all in one meter, for now since im getting a 400w MH/HPS ill be using the MH all the way till vegging then when its time ill switch it over to HPS, for cloning ect when it gets to that time ill prob pick up either another MH or T5 lighting for that, and ill have seperate area's for clones/veg/flowering, just debating how im gonna split the room up to control the enviornment, could go in tents but thats another 300+ i dont have atm, ive completely thought it through on how im gonna be doing what i am i have no worries, then for anything that i might miss/have troubles with i can always come to this site with confidence that someone will help out with anything i might have a problem with, not for nutes, i noticed some come in either qt containers or gallon containers, if i was to choose a qt container would it last long enough for 1 grow ? im just debating price wise......and the area im gonna be growing in is gonna be a 3x4 closet where i can use venting no problem i was already looking at that and rigging up a vent system and a heater if needed in case it gets 2 cold, but cold isnt a issue cause the room tempt now is about 70 cause of heating from the house and its winter currently....and for plants ill prob be looking to do 6-8 on a 2x4 table which is big enough for those, and i appriciate all the input i have recieved so far

i dont think thats an ec/ph tester i linked ne1 know a good price for a ec/ph tester thats 2 in 1, looking for the cheapest decent 1 i can get it will be replaced down the road

all you need to split the rooms is a sheet of ply wood or throw up a quick stud and mylar sheet both side very cheap and easy if you can do a bit of diy. you could even go split level in your closet if you got decent height. sounds like you got the rest covered if you got 2-3 weeks untill your seeds get there get your room set up and tested and keep doing your research to get a clearer pic of what your doing. keep us posted on how your doing

ya ill be splitting the room, nothing a few 2x4's and a few sheets of sheetrock then cover both sides with mylar, ya ill def keep people posted when i do start, ill do the whole grow journal ect, ive browsed the sites and asked question prob the last 2 months, i just wanna make sure i sit back and make sure i dont miss the simple things once i start like the ph/ec tester which im trying to find atm looking for the best price but not a flimsy one
