it won't grow, and it won't die

Before giving up just transplant into different soil. You are saying its the same soil but thought you also said you have two different strains there so same soil may mean nothing to two different strains. I have stunted a few on my first grow and was able to transplant into soil-less mix and got them to pick up. I have yet to see the yield from these same plants as they are currently flowering still as they were later than the rest. As with earlier poster my issue was using the Miricle Grow, my white widow plants did not like it at all but the persian bud didnt mind the MG. I am now sticking with the Pro-mix so I dont burn the babies. Good luck man and dont let this deter you.

this is a frustrating account of a plant that just will not 'move'
wondering if this a 'pheno from hell', maybe someone else has seen something similar

so the strain is jock horror from nirvana, it was a very slow sprouter(2 weeks)
but when it did come up, it grew OK for about a week, then slowed to a crawl
soil is MG Organic with bone meal, dolomite and, perlite mixed in
outflow ph was around 6, i've bumped that up to 6.2 with some wood ash
it's under a single 27w 5500k cfl, but the bulb is still bigger than the plant, and it's within 2 inches

basically, the leaves began to get pale, the 1st true leaves are yellowing
i have used this soil mix on other plants, it has nitrogen
i've also fed with alfalfa tea which also has nitrogen
the upper leaves are so so, and have begun to get a bit darker after ph change
the thing just refuses grow, and it won't die, just kind of sits there
so the pics narrate the events, the other plant is a clone i was going to toss, put in for color comparison
+rep obviously for any info

My guess, and just a guess, but.... I think the tap root got a bit mixed up and is twisted around something in the soil. And is just confused on which way to go. If you 'rip it up' be gentle and get a good look at its root. I say root because it probaly only has a spiraled tap with a few new outshoots on it. Just a guess...

MG is worldwide, bugs and all. I know folks have had sucess with it. But for the most part. Weed and MG do not mix well. Its best to start with a neutral palet. You know when you add, what you add and how much you add. Feeding them that is.

super2200 - i may transplant into large container, what's making me think it's a 'lean' soil' is the clone just began to show lack of nute signs, so a clone is behaving differently between the 2 pots and size is the difference - but that's just my guess for the moment

cowboy logic - way cool info on the root, i'm almost hope is doesn't come back just to pop the root
and the MG, well i'm not married to it - did one organic grow and it treated me right once - but i'm rereading all the soil posts

+rep guys(if i can), the more eyes the better

I like the Premier Pro-mix as it has no nutes and not bad right out of the bag. During Flower I am mixing Happy Frog Fruit and Flower and watering every other time with Maxibloom.

ok, fed with bone meal / alfalfa teas, i brew my own nutes and the bone meal tea gave me great results in my last grow
there does seem to be some better new green growth showing, i got suspicious when the clone on the left began to yellow, it did fine in this soil in a previous grow
so thinking nute def., best guess anyways

seems like a good day to post a hopeful picture
hopeful to me that is, not pretty but improvement has happened
you can see the horror is throwing up some new healthy green growth
the clone isn't too pretty but is also re-greening slowly
the clone had been mistreated, but worked well as a canary in the coal mine
the only change has been feeding

wanted to follow up on this frustrating situation, just in case any of the kind folks that gave me some help were curious
so i finally popped out this mini plant out of its pot - it was root bound, or very close to it
this tiny dwarf of a plant had managed to fill the container with roots - i have no idea how this is possible
and there didn't look like there were any root issues - it wasn't wet at the bottom, roots looked healthy
it's like its growth was %90 root and %10 upper plant
so i've transplanted to a larger container - i know it's a lot of effort to put into 1 seed, but i really don't much like ordering seeds, so get out as much as i can from each 1
