It doesn't smelll like chronic...

Hello,

I finally had my first soil harvest. However i'm a bit disappointed.

During the flowering period, there was a pungeant chronic smell which made me feel good about the plant. Lots of crystals all over the place.

However, now that i cut it down and hung it in a dark ventilated area... it doesn't smell like chronic.

Why?

i still have a couple days to go for drying but it doesn't smell anything like chronic.

comments/suggestions?

Give it time bud.. They're going to be WAY different after you cure them. Realize your plants pretty much dying right now. It's probably doesn't have enough energy to produce all that extra smell or something. IDK but I'm sure you'll be fine after curing. Correct me if I'm wrong please.

after it is dry and you put in in jars to cure the smell will gradually get stronger...

that will happen to bud from plants that havnt been flushed, or flushed completely.
it happens to all bud even when cured properly. and will gain its smell back, when cured, if it was flushed. if not it wont ever smell right.

If you didnt flush, and this is for personal use. Look at the Water curing method. I was intrigued by this and I will use half of my buds with this. they say it loses some weight, but you get it back in potency. Look into it befor you start curing!

I didnt like water curing at all, it made good tasting smelling bud not so great... and I wouldnt say it gained any potency... or lost any... just lost all the goodness esides the high... I would rather dry buds in a microwave than water cure LMAO

Well... 7 days passed and the bud is now dry.

Tell you what.. this looks like some of the dankest shit ever! It is lime green and has crystals all over the place!!!

However, it smells like HAY. When I squeeze it, I get a good chronic smell.

Now.. The smoke?

Is it possible to have crystals all over the place? Lime green with red hair? No smell unless squeezed? And absolutely NO HIGH???????

I dryed it by hanging it in a box ... put a lid over it and left some space for airflow. Did I flush it? sorta... the last couple of days.

maybe you pulled too soon. but either way the shit will smell like grass clippings for a week or so in a jar and will then start to take on that nice dank smell. my shit always smel wonderful after a good cure. good luck and give it time. late

I think it was 25% covered with orange hairs instead of 50%.

oh well.. second batch on its way ! ! !
