It Begins!!!

You're in a sticky-wicket. These people "have something" over you; in that they can 'drop-a-dime" (call authorities) on you if u get too rough with them. Word of mouth might also be spreading - even as we speak - and if certain people didn't care enough about you to prevent the break-in, i doubt they will be more inclined to protect you from cops, administrators, etc.
My point-of-view is never let anyone in on what you're doing. It gives "them" too much power over you.

Well it's finally over folks :mrgreen:

With the help of my crack team of coalition forces, the plant has been guarded, pulled, trimmed and is officially harvested!

Most of the hairs were still immature, but I felt it had to be done anyways.

Here is the plant, still with ties, hanging upside-down.

Afterwards the leaves/shake were trimmed and saved to make some canna-butter.

The big cola is on the right.

These are the fruits of the last 100 days. The buds have now been relocated to a safe, undisclosed location.

Oh, the plan is:
- to dry for a few days by hanging
- finish drying in paper bags for a few more days
- transfer to jars for curing

I have not smoked any that have been properly dried... Yet!

The wet buds have a lite skunky pungent odor. The high is a modestly cerebral energeticness with little body-buzz.

dejm1, I have no idea how much was harvested. I don't even have a scale. Probably I'll deal with that in a few weeks when the drying and curing is completed. My guess would be somewhere is the 3oz range, which sounds fine with me!

For a first-timer, growing one plant (the runt of the bunch at that) and dealing with all the drama that goes with it, 3 ounces really makes up for it!
 
If you have 3 oz wet weight you must divide that by 5 to get your finished dry-product weight.

Also the 'high' off undried or quick-dried bud in no way compares to properly dried bud. The quality difference is literally astronomical.

I dried out 3oz as expected. The high is still very heady, wow I just realized I've been smoking for over 30 days straight :shock:

I have to stop for awhile so I can build up the energy to Grow again... Laundry... Groceries... Homework... :-?
 
I read this beautiful story. It had its ups and downs with it. Wow room mates stealing from each other thats ridiculous. Thats why I grow with my roommate who Ive known since hghschool. He has his plants and I have mine.

I've got a partner on my other grow. Known the geezer 15 years. It's great when you're in your 30's, I now have a selection of people that I could all-but trust with my life.

Anyway verve', the boards are missing you. It's time to get growing again. Maybe you could go hydro', I've got a hydro' grow and a deep water culture (just one plant dwc). It's certainly more exciting than soil. Cleaner too.

I also got a new 6 megapixel camera to enhance your viewing experience.
I am sticking with soil for now, although hydro looks like a lot of fun. My grow will be assisted by Fox Farm soils and nutrients and another little gadget that for now will remain a secret - I promise you will all love it :hump:
 
just read your journal amazing grow for first time good job.im growing for first time and i hope i get results like u im 14 days into flowering

so im completely new to this forum i just joined just to post in this thread you a great inspiration i just started growing my own stuff like last week i hope it turns out as good as yours! thanks again ill be back
 
i am currently growing some top 44 in a aerogarden pro..how do u think this will turn out? also my sprouts are about 2 weeks old and 1 of them has a couple of brownish yellow spots and isnt growing as fast....is it because of nutes?
 
i thought top 44 was mostly indica? thats why i bought the seeds.the leaves of your pics look like sativa. alot! long slender narrow leaves. lanky almost .. hmmmmmmaybe i'm crazy .. either way nice grow:joint::joint:

i just did some internetting and found top skunk 44. i'm pretty sure this is what you got . not top 44.
