Issues with an HTG 600 hps

Hello RIu,
My 600 watter has been doing great for about three cycles now, but I have noticed that sometimes the light is off when it shouldn't be. It's not my timer and I unplug everything check out all the cords and nothing is abnormal.
I'll plug her back in and The light will fire up, but then I hear a beep and it goes out. I'll wait ten to fifteen minutes then she starts up and stays on for a while sometimes runs as if nothing were ever wrong.
I just got a new bulb 3-4 months ago, a Hortilux Eye Super HPS. I always replace my bulbs before they go out. My question is do any others have any similar experiences with their digital ballast? The "beep" wtf is that all about? I've searched HTG's fabulous FAQ and troubleshooting but it was not informative at all
My temps are cool and my shit's never over 76-78 degrees F
Any thoughts?

HPS works harder as it gets older, drawing more juice to maintain the arc at pressure than when new, less light for the higher draw also.
It will get to the point where the "high" part of "high pressure sodium" blows out the arc. When the arc tube cools the pressure drops with the temperature and the tube will refire until the heat and pressure build back up, then it blows out again.
This cycle will get faster the longer the bulb is used.

A newer bulb should not do this, but no company is 100%, not even hortilux. If you bought the bulb at a local store and have the receipt (or they know you) it may be replaced, depends how long the store had it. Too close to call, three grows old.

If its the ballast doing something similar under load, then? dunno. It is exactly how HPS bulbs gets old though.

Thanks Phaeton I guess I'll be trying a new bulb. I guess I ran her a little hard.
But the bulb wouldn't beep at me???? I'm still unsure as to why it does that... could the ballast beep as a safety warning? for now I'm pullin the plug on that ballast and equip until I can guarantee it's working properly. Thanks for the input. If anyone has heard the beeping though I'd like to hear what you did to solve it. HTG has no troubleshooting guides for any equip... go figure
