Btw thought I should mention I used about 13 grams and got 2.5 grams back. Granted the third run is a little dark but it was only .5 and is potent. Just took 2 dabs and typed this 3 times. Haha.

Looks pretty nice man, good job! Do you know what strain it was, what kinda flavor you end up with?
Unfortunately I don't know the strain but I assume its a sativa due to color and high. I stopped using heat to evap and it retained very nice flavors. Even the darker one is tasty.

Nice man glad to see things work for people!

Man I had to laugh I took some of my Oil to a friend yesterday, and he was thrilled as usual. Then he's like hey check out this BHO I got from my other buddy...... So he opens up a parchment, and shows me some bright yellow goo. The color and smell were very impressive, had a strong smell of juniper or pine, and like I said was bright yellow. So I take a closer look at it, only to see all kinds of little pieces of dirty and crap in it. I'm also guessing from the gooyness it prolly wasn't properly purged. Either way I had to pass on dabbing it cus of all the shit in it, but just told him it was cus I have a cold :).

I prefer fresh frozen...its not necessary to dry it, the freezing step before you run the material traps the water in the plant as ice..so the fewer cuts for internal moisture to be released the better.. if frozen it doesn't matter if moist or dry.. you would only want to run dry material at room temp but it can be frozen and run as well

So the last run I posted I stuck in the closet since the other runs was enough to last a while. Normally I do smaller runs which all fit in my smaller containers. I just pulled it out and it seems to have dried out quite a bit. The one that was wax looks like it will crumble to keif. The others went from clear amber to more budder opaque. Anyone seen this before

So just cut material as best possible to finest...freeze Iso and material?

Yea it happens as the terpenes and lighter compounds evaporate..raising your melting point turning it harder and crumblier(when making wax you slowly raise the temps as terps evap to keep it melted, waxing temp is best right above melting point) ..without the "wet" lighter terpenes.....also it shouldn't be kept in the open at room temp.. thca only has a half life of 12-13 days at room temp not sealed up..your product will oxidize nicely changing its color and consistency as the thca/thc ratio changes

Cut up after freezing to prevent the icky tasting plant juices from coming out(and chlorophyll) it also stops the plant from being "mashed" while trying to cut it up, rupturing those cells releases more ickyness

Beech I would say you want to do as little cutting as possible while getting the largest densest chunks small enough the ISO should be able to wash through it. I usually try to get it to a texture a little larger then I would roll into a blunt so I know there is alot of serface area, but its not fully ground or broken up completely.

I hate Hermies. I've only had it happen a few times, but it sucks either way. Atleast they got far enough to oil them!

Hey guys been awhile since I"ve posted any of my work sooooo. I thought I'd share something cool. I made some oil from one of my purple Platinum Delights last week. Well this is the surprise I got when I scraped it...

  • I don't know if you can see it well, but some of the oil came out with a pinkish purple tint to it. Even with it pressed in to a mass you can see the pink tint. I thought it was neat, as unlike that red oil I made this was natural coloring coming out of the plant. I just harvested another pheno of that strain that I think was even more purple so I'm curious to see if the color comes through again.

I also scraped some Sin's OG oil the other day.
