Iso-HEET for hash oil??

is anyone familiar with the brand Iso-HEET isopropyl alcohol?? my friend works at a hardware store and says its 99% isopropyl alcohol but its ment for cleaning engines so im wondering how safe it would be to use. it has a slightly brown tinge to it and smells different than rubbing alcohol at a pharmacy.

would this be bad for making hash oil?

yes i know there are much better solvents to use and butane would be best so please do not lecture me on all the ways to make it.

I like your thinking there. reminds me of making ether out of starting fluid. I do not know the answer but will stay tuned..... everybody loves honey oil.... Have you seen any good DIYs for making the tube for the Honey oil. I have always just made them out large pillbottles etc, but I want something more permanent.... not to motivated to buy.......

i think theres methanol in that, toxic.

There must be something else in it. Like methanol, like weedmonkey says. If it's not pure, if its not perfectly clear, it's crap. Don't chance it. You could make the darwin list trying it out. Think pharmacy, not auto parts store.

youtube has some good videos of different people with different types of tubes, probably wouldnt be too hard to replicate. just search "how to make hash oil". okief.com has a pretty cool setup that im sure you could make yourself with a trip to a hardware store. i bet it'll cost a hell of a lot less too. thats what i was thinking of doing.

yeaa i'll probably just dump it in my gas tank for its intended purpose haha. i cant find regular 99% iso alc. or denatured ethanol anywhere. i might just have to rock it butane stylie. whats a darwin list?
