iso hash

Yo... so I've never made it before.. but its pretty straight forward...

What would the end result be if I just used a bit of bud shake and stems? Would I get anything good?

Seen a thread here about shaking actual kief from stems... and it does work... (when I say stems I mean bud stems.. whats left over after you pick the bud off the stem, not plant stalks)... so what about iso hash?

Tell me what you guys think ASAP, I'm just runnin to grip a bottle of 99% iso. :joint:

Here's a few pictures from my little escapade... I used a couple grams of chopped up stems... and 1.5 grams of kush shake for sure... and scraped up whatever kief I could find...

Combined all together in a jar with JUST enough 99% iso to submerge it all... Shook like a motherfucker for 59 seconds (timed it)... then strained it through a coffee filter.

I'm left with a very goldenly albeit smelly mixture... hopefully it turns out.

Here ya go fools, whatchu think?

Looks good. Let it sit for a bit and it should get you blazed. Smoke report when it's ready?

Yeah for sure.. Been craving the hash.
Used to have a steady supply of the nicest hash you could imagine.. Now it's all gone..

Resorting to making my own!

I'll post pictures of the final product and give a smoke report

Thinking of making ISO myself, so I'm waiting for your results to push me over the fence lol.

I'm more of a bubble, BHO person.

Hope it turns out good! Try and weigh how much hash you get.

Me too benassi, LOVE BHO... I can buy it here in the city... got a pretty good hookup for it... but its iffy stuff you know? Sometimes he makes it really good, sometimes not so good... and bubble hash = fuck yeah.

I've never made ISO before, I don't really have a need for it... I got a bunch of kush... just felt like it.. hahah.

I won't disappoint boys, I'll post pictures of the final product / weight (if possible) and give a detailed smoke report... I'm pretty excited actually.

Any guesses on how long it'll take to evap? I used like 1/4 of a bottle of iso, maybe a tad more.

Making your own BHO and oil/wax/budder is fairly easy. Fuck buying it, just get a half ounce.

I'm still not really seeing anything.. just gold alcohol....

I throw mine in front of a fan and usually its all gone within 4-5 hours.

I like to make some every now and then. Made a batch yesterday actually. Last night me and some buddys smoked a 12 Gram blunt,Couldnt fit the other two grams so we rolled up two more blunts after that. Then finished the night with a huge bowl of ISO hash,wax,bubble hash,and some GDP at the bottom. I love the stuff taste great too.

Boil a pot of water and set the tray on top of it. Don't have any flame near it, just boil a pot, move it to a non burn surface and stick the oil pan thing on top.

I'm a little disappointed kinda.... I thought I was making hash... lol... not oil... hmm..

I read a tutorial and buddy had the end product and it was just like a little brown ball of hash.... and all I've got so far... it looks like honey oil.... maybe it will stick together and form a ball... idk...

In order to get the stable hash it has to be bud or the biggest majority of it has to be. Using all trim or very little bud with trim allows for too much chlorophyl (think I spelled that right) and will make it like oil. This is from personal experience. I only use denatured alcohol as it evaporates quicker, but smells much worse I'm sure. The only time I had it stable was with Blue hash buds and Easyryder buds. Everytime I use trim I get oil. Hope this helps.

Yea....looks like your stems and such didnt have enough trichomes in it to form a solid mass, ive seen other alcohol oil and its alot thicker and grainier.

Yeah my stuff usually turns out like really grainy and barely stable when I use mostly trim. If your fingers are warm it will stick to them, but if relatively cool fingertips touch it you may be able to form it to a ball. You might also try cooling it down quite a bit more and see if you can get it semi stable. Trust me if you can use straight bud you won't regret it. My blue hash turned into taffy, and the Easyryder turned into glass.

I think that stable ball was from mixing it with kief. Not sure tho

Put a fan over the dish to get air moving and it will evaporate much quicker.

so it finished up.. I'm going to be smoking it doing blades... (heating a glass hot knife then dripping the oil on it and hooting it) works really good.... I use a propane torch cuz its fast and doesn't use electricity... and I can do them in my room..

I just took a couple hits of it... WOW!! :clap:

It tastes fucking good & and it got me pretty high as fuck...

For hash, I was disappointed... lol... I rate it 0/10 for hash.. because it's not hash at all.. but rather its HASH OIL.... and I've smoked my fair share of honey oil... and I'd rate this stuff a good 8/10 guys...

Fuck it tastes amazing... has that really sweet smell and taste... you know? If you've ever smoked FRESH kush kief or honey oil you know what I mean..

I am impressed... tasted good as fuck...

Got 0.95 grams... scale was teetering between 1.0 grams and 0.9grams..
