Is using a dehumidifier for drying?

I was wondering if using a dehumidifier in the room you're drying in is a good idea? I would imagine pulling as much moisture from the area as possible would be good, but is it a cost effective method to reduce the time?

that and a fan
Fan would dry it too fast.Just hang them in a dark cool spot like the post above said, then run your dehumidifier on the other side of the room or something. While sometimes you need it to dry fast for certain reasons..drying it as slow as possible will give you the best results..fans,drying boxes, food dehydrators all that stuff ruins the taste 95% of the time. let them sit in your closet for 5-7 days in the dark with it cracked a little and then put them into the jars when your stems are snapping and not bending.then close them up over night then open them all day then close them at night and repeat for a 4-5 days or until you think they are cured and ready for storage or smoking.it should burn clean and when you roll a doobie it should burn nice and slow and even and not fast or go out.if it does then its to wet or to dry and then fix it accordingly.:blsmoke:

the fan is only for a litte air movement, not hard out onto the buds!
air movement will help stop mold.
