Is This SkyWalker OG?

I am currently in Day 6 of flower with a batch of nursery clones billed as Skywalker OG. While I have grown OG (SFV), I am not familiar with the Skywalker OG, and I am wondering if I have the genetics or not? Anybody out there working with Skywalker OG over multiple crops, I would like to hear your input. I love the look of these plants, and I am thinking of keeping the genetics if they are the real deal. I realize the proof is in the pudding, but if anybody recognizes these as a sure thing, please let me know.

I dont think there would be any real way to tell by pics...you'll have to wait until you smoke it, IMO

I was afraid you were going to say that, Baja! haha So what you're saying is: If I keep em and take cuts, and veg em, mom em, love em and get some numbers together I can work with, the final product will be bunk? But, if I don't keep the genetics, they will turn out to be super weed? haha

I agree with what you are saying... but the cut is so popular, I thought somebody doing extensive work with this cut may be able to see a family resemblance. I guess we just have to wait it out. I better keep some of it around to cover my bases.

dude what do you have your plants sitting in?

I'm not sure what you are asking? Do you mean the plastic tray, or the planting medium, or the pot? It's a generic clear plastic storage tray with a piece of lite crate (used to diffuse florescent lights in T-bar style ceilings), Hydrofarm 9" square pot, Royal Gold Basement mix with 33% perlite. I am using Botanicare 2 x 4 trays in the tents.

Here's my batch of Skywalker OG at day 32. If yours smells like a cross between turpentine/pine and fruit then you're set. Also all the fan leaf stems are purple compared to sugar leaf stems if that helps!

the first pix looked like the skywalker og that i have. gets bushy and has rally dark green leaves with a little bit of a purpley blue hue. kinda a bitch to clone also. yeilds decent and has a blueberry taste at the end. and i got the purple fan leaf stems. thought it was a deficiency at first .

I am not a expert by a long shot. But was confused when I found some and skywalker og kush at my local dispensery and was marked 90S/10I. When I thought the kush family is dominatly indica. After talking for about an hour straight I couldn't help but think this ain't no indica. So I started doing some research there are a lot of differnt stories bout how it came along but they agree on a few things. true skywalker og kush is only "kush" in name. From its kushy like bud density. The real skywalker is sativa. From a chem4 mutant sometime in the 90s. Near the ocean some where "OG.. ocean grown" urs look a lil bushy to b almost purely sativa. Skywalker is pretty stretchy having long growth between nodes and only a few leaves. Very chemy fuel like smell uplifting high. Best smoke I've had. I will forever be on the hunt for true sative skywalker og clones. Proving to b very difficult to get. Short of driving to to LA. There's my 2 cents. Regarudless babies look beautiful. Happy growing!

Well I just moved my finishing Skywalkers from a cabinet into my new 18x16 Flowering Room. :) They went from a 400watt CMH bulb and are now finishing up under 1000w HPS. How do you like my temps and RH 70*/38%? :bigjoint:

Just like the previous poster said, these Skywalkers have long nodes but as you can see the filled in just beautifully. All of the calyxes are rock hard. In the early stages of flowering they smelled much more like pine/turpentine with a hint of fruit. Now as they finish, the Blueberry is very dominant with just a hint of pine. They smell so much like real flowers (no skunk) that you don't even notice it within the space.

The little plant in front is a very special Blue Dream that I luckily was able to bring back from the dead due to a gnat larvae infestation in the hydroton during veg. She's not very big but she has 12 beautifully formed, rock hard buds and smell of roses.

Here's a few closeups from the night before. Somehow my camera got switched to Sepia but it makes them look cool anyway. Maybe this is how bud looked like when the indians were growing it in the 1800's. ;)
