Is this place all tents and Box's?

Hey guy's,

Im looking to see more real grows here. I wanna switch over to hydro very soon, and am always looking for new idea's, but all im seeing is little box's, tents and PC Box's! Anyone running large rooms out there?? Really, i cant learn from a kid with 6- cfl's in an old pc box, using a bathroom fan and a sock full of carbon.... using pie plates for reflectors.

where are the big boys hiding?

The big boys learned through a combination of reserach and experience and can't be bothered to spoon feed people info.

Room set up is all physics and basic wiring and it's really not all that difficult. One just needs to get of their ass and start googling things and educating themselves.

Here are the two cardinal rules..

1k worth of HPS equals 3,500 btu

Watts = amps x volts


You know what happens when the experienced grower takes the time to post a real informative thread? Newbs post "that's not what I do and my set up works great". Then the posts never get stickied and it slowly falls to the bottom.

When I grew large, I told nobody. You'll find that seems to be the case quite often.

That said, there are a number of highly skilled growers on the site; cabinet/tent/PC grower or not.
I've lurked here for over a year, and just finally made an account. Here's something that you might learn that will serve you well on these forums: Bashing anyone, no matter their skill level, on RIU won't get you much help from anyone.

I'm looking forward to a monster grow from ya! :joint::mrgreen:

That's a good point. That and there is a thread every week about someone that has these monster grow plans and they probably have like 2k or something to build it out. Not to sound all big and bad ass or anything, because when you have a big grow or two, it's really not all "fucking sweet dude, check this shit out" it's just becomes allot of work but I spent 3k on light bulbs the other month.

There are those of us who would help. BUT, I don't post pic's and don't discuss my size other to say that in my state i stay within my legal limits and keep my patients quite happy.

The best goal in my eye is a closed system with individual area's to flower in, to achieve a "perpetual" harvest. It works for me.
Unless you have 15-30K to invest......Don't.

dude there are big grows, lots of people wont talk about it. when you grow tons you'll see why, the biggest part is protection. you spent all you time at it last thing you want to do is boast about how you got lots of plants. get your stuff going, get a giant tent you can walk into and get 3 hps's with cool tubes. have fun, your roots will love you for voodoo juice, trust me.

yo.... Im not looking for info on how to setup or anything, have you seen my journal? LOL. I just wanted to see what others are doing, and i like looking at the pics ;-) Its just that its kinda boring looking at the same old 3 plants under a couple cfl's, or the small box's..... it would be nice to see more bigger rooms, with 3+ lights and big beds, or tables. or whatever! especially in the hydro/aero area, as im looking to make the change. but thats just me.

Truth right there. ^^ If I am running a big op I don't have time to post photos of it on the internet. Too much work to do.
