Is this P def?

IMG_0905.JPG So I know there are some plants that will naturally turn purple, but this is about the twentieth plant of this variety (Afghani #1) I've flowered, and this is the first one I've seen do this. Temps stay above 70 almost always, and there are five other Afghani #1s around it that haven't done anything of the sort. I'm wondering if it's P def, because it's the most similar thing I can see from all of the diagnosing guides...

It looks pretty good, otherwise(I've finished way worse).

It might have received a one-time high dose of nutrient, causing it to burn a little, or the ph could be off track(or a bit of both). But at this point in flowering, an under fed plant would usually be more yellow, rather than necrotic spots. I usually tend to blame an overabundance of something when I see spotting like this.

Good points. I feed every one of my plants the same amount of the solution so hopefully I just got a sensitive gal, otherwise I can look forward to this in the rest of them.

Not P def.

That's extra K at work....it's ok at that level too. I like extra K and build my soils or feed extra, to my needs. Extra K will help a plant express any natural coloring....

Your good to go!

I think the mottling on the large fan (bottom right) is a def going on but at this point I would give it some Calcium. If you look at Mulders Chart it shows that a defiency in one can trigger an immobilization in another. My guess on this one.....Calcium and it will free up your Phos.

If you are a soil grower I would recommend a few cups of gypsum in your mix next time.

The purpling leaves are just genetics I believe.

could just be the plant geno.....they all clones or from seed.
They are actually seeds from a plant that hermied...I was growing a couple other strains at the time but none of them had any seeds or any nanners I could find, so I'm pretty sure it self-pollinated

Take another look. He's got a High N thing going a tad too....Purple, that is high K expression by that plant. The "mottled" look is just about a normal thing for a plant being feed at a "push" rate.....at it's age..

The dial in is really close on that strain and feed rate.....Personally, I would back off the feeding buy like 10% on the next run....Compare the yield notes when done.....The high N showing that late, could likely inhibit budding to full potential....Possible anyway, and that's why I would do another at 10 -15% less and compare. OR you could tickle the P up at the next feeding and once more in a week from that...

Being Afghani 1's...they can take a high nutrient ratio pretty well......

@Giddy up - Let's play guess my plant age in bloom.. Your right about 6 weeks, and maybe a few days more?

They look good....If it was "Me",,,,I "might" back off the nutrient a bit and hit them with like a PK booster once! Something like Canna's, Hesi's or Ionic's PK....

Most likely I would simply run it out and lower the feeding ratio for the strain by 10% next time...less nutrient or less feedings, what ever.

They are actually a couple days after week 8 (day 58ish...) for some reason my plants always take WAY longer than they're supposed to...my blue dreams usually take around 11 weeks, and last time I grew golden goat I cut her at 12 weeks and it might've been early still...I've been told I have N issues before, and I've also been told that could be the cause of my long flowering times, the thing is, I never add growth ferts...the only N my plants get is the small amounts in tiger bloom and big bloom...

I'm w you though, I will back off a little on my nutes next go around...I actually feed all my plants the same stuff, and w golden goat being the most sensitive of the three, I use those as a barometer to ensure I'm not overdoing it...perhaps that method isn't completely fail safe haha!

I am in the process of redoing my lab, and I will have an easier time of strain specific feedings in the future.

Yeah, that's an N problem alright......They really look to be at 6 weeks.....just starting to bulk....
You maybe feeding too often...

Well, actually I only feed once every five feedings...I feed at about half the recommended rates on everything besides the sonic bloom from humboldt's own (which I feed full strength [1 tsp/5 gal].) every 2nd and fourth feedings I add some CaMg and Si, then 3rd and 5th feedings I used to add just tap, but I've been adding the mammoth P for the last couple weeks in the 3rd and 5th feeding.

Ok I just had a thought after reading my last post aloud...is it possible that me introducing the mammoth P around wk 4 (after stretch) is what has been causing my N over abundance?
