The plant has not been watered today and the soil is still damp to the touch. The top leafs are starting to curl up and the bottom leafs are going yellow. Its only 17 days old in MJ soil so the nutes should not be used up by now. Any ideas? +rep to all

The top is bent over for LST it's not related to the problem

how often do you water? Is that mg soil?
Usually i water every other day, one plant needs it every day or it goes limp. But this one i couldn't really tell you how much water it has got in the last 3 days. The soil is wet to the touch, not soaking wet but pretty damp. Yes it is miracle grow soil, i use it for all my plants never gave me any problems. I have monster grow, maxigrow and schultz if it needs nutes. Just seems a bit early to me.

You might try to go every 3 days on the water if you keep mg moist it will over feed the plants. saw some yellow tips in you pic's. I use a sprayer to water my p;ants just a little in each pot untill I use up my water. about a gal to a 5 gal pot. and water every 3-4 days if it's real warm. just a thought good luck.

Sounds good, so you do think that this was caused by over watering? think the plant will be able to recover ??

I'd assume it's overwatering before anything else, let the soil dry up alittle and see how it reacts

Yeah I'm going to take it outside in the morning let it get alittle sun and heat up the soil a bit. Temps in the room stay around 70-75 so the soil will stay wet forever in there.

Not sure to tell the truth. My plants get droopy when I over water. I only used mg soil on my first grow. I was fighting nute burn the whole grow. I'm sure that was part of it but I also used mg liquid fert on top of that. If they stay to moist it will mess whith the roots. I've left this poor mom plant 5 days without water and just a few of the bottom branch's got crispy. What kind of temps are you running?

Normally 76 degrees in the room, it shot up yesterday to 86 in there for about 25 minutes until i realized the ac was off in there. But i don;t think that affected it to be honest. I have two others in there and they are great.

Was just asking. We just had like 40 days of 90+ and my room got a little warmer for a few weeks low to mid 80's and no problems. I guess the next ? What type of light are you using? Just looking for an over all pic of your setup.

I have 6 x 27 watt CFLs 3 6500k and 3 2700k and a 68 watt 2700k CFL. I sure its not a lighting problem. Do you think taking it outside would be better. I'm in california so the days are pretty hot right now, i could keep it sheltered from the heat but get it warm enough to dry up the soil a bit.

I would think going from cfl to sun would shock the poor things. mybe a few hours a day in the sun and a little more each day to get them used to the sun. I had a buddy that thought he was being nice to all his wifes house plants and hung them all outside before we went to work. lol got fom that night and every one was fried to a crisp.
