I've never grown autos, but I'm pretty sure 12/12 is ill advised. I think autos you want to give as much light as you can
Some autos carry through the pheno gene so sometimes you have to give it a kick start by switching to 12/12

After this “kick start” are you able to increase the light on cycle?? Everything I was reading indicated that 18+ hours of light was what autos really want?

I'm not 100% sure mate, I've never done autos before I've currently got 3 going on now just started but 18/6 is the best light cycle

Gotcha. I’ve never done autos. Been a little curious but I just feel like you give up all control growing autos.

.. should have left it as is ... autos are wired to run on their own time . Some autos sex out quick some slower. Auto on 12/12 is cutting its already short lifespan .

Autos are often overthought...
Autos hate complicated feeds , overwatering .
They are plug and play , they only need to be happy for approximately 90 days of life. This where growers step on their dick by “ pushing “ them.
