Is this normal for an Autoberry or any other Cannabis Plant

We are new to real growing. My friend is on day 25 of his Autoberry. The seeds are from marijuana-seeds.nl. He is using the old phototron with the U-Shaped Bulbs with a 150watt 9 spectrum LED UFO on top. The plant is showing the white pistols so we are sure its female. The question is the plant is 4"-5" tall. The node spacing is about 1/4"-1/2" and it isn't really spreading out either. She Looks Healthy the color is good and smells nice. He fed it 2 times with miracle grow @ just under 1000ppm with bottled water in between feedings.
Is this a normal occurrence or is this a dwarf, did he do something wrong?
The grow medium is sphagnum peat moss at the bottom with miracle grow potting mix on top. We know miracle grow is shit. but it is just a test grow to hammer out any problems before he sets up the 6 bucket DWC in a 4x4 tent with 1050watts of LEDs

Sorry about the lines in the pics
ANY INFO WOULD BE HELPFUL. HE IS LETTING IT FINISH EITHER WAY!

Yeah ''your friend'' might have a heat problem, what's the temps? Not too bad for 25 days of auto. It probably is just fine, taking slow the first weeks. Some autos do that, and then when the flowering starts, bam the real grow rate shows. Can't really see the colors of leaves, if it's too dark green you're giving it too much nitrogen, but I CANT SEE IM BLIND

Here is a pic from last week, Color is still the same. Heat is around 90F when lights are on. We figured it would be a bit bigger than it is. And it is a friends plant, He is scared to post from his house.

90 is way too hot for seedlings. Mary grows best in temps of 70-80 anything past 85 and you are going to cause some stunted growth as well as airier loose buds if temps are that high during flower time. Always keep temps as close to 75 as you can.

What is your humidity looking like?

We got the temp down to 80 by opening a panel up. We have no way to tell the humidity yet. Like I said this is really a test grow, He ordered a 3 in 1 monitor Temp/Humidity/PH. Can the plant recover, what can we do?

Yes, it will recover just keep the temps down. Make sure your humidity is in check. 50-70ish during veg is what you are looking for. More humidity = faster growth. It's going to be hard to add more humidity and keep the temps down if you don't have fans or a/c unit. What has been the ph of the medium and the water? Temp, humidity, and ph should be in check from the beginning.

Cool thanks! There is a fan inside the unit, We just hope it spreads out more and get a little bigger. He moved the light up, he had it close to the plant. Think putting a cup of water in the unit will help with the humidity?

Is there any exhaust or intake fans, or even holes or passive intake/exhaust? A couple of solo cups 3/4 full should raise the humidity a bit, it's definitely worth a shot. Just remember to replace the water every few days to keep mold from forming. The light is supposed to be close to the top of the plant just not close enough to feel excessive warmth. I would move it back down if its far away.

He did put a container of water in the unit, The light is about 2ft above the plant, 1 of the panels is always open and a fan is inside circulating air. with the panel open the fan in his window blows towards the phototron keeping the temp about 5 degrees cooler in the unit. i'll tell him to lower the light again and see how it does. The plant seems to have been growing a bit better since we lowered the temp.

1000ppm? i hear autos use even less nutes, its probably stunted from too much nutrient. theres already nutes in the miracle grow soil to last probably 1/2 of your autos life.

Well since we dropped the temp she has seemed to started to grow faster. She is popping new branches at the nodes. Its promising. It didn't feel like it was 90 in the unit. When he lowered the LED back down the Leaves started to turn upwards I know that is a sign of to much heat. So he moved the light back up. Its about 2 feet away from it. Plus it has the Florescents on the sides. I'll post some more pics later this week.
Thanks for all your help

Possible new twist... There are pistols popping all over the top branches but found this on 2 fresh shoots off the bottom nodes 1 on each side. Are these pollen sacks.
Sorry about the pic quality. It is so small we couldn't get a great picture(i tried to clean it up in Photoshop

He cut them off, We Hope it isn't a Hermie

He tossed them. And it doesn't look as though more are showing.
I heard topping the autos is pointless. is this true?

Funny how everyone missed in his second post where he states his temps "when the lights are on"!

Why would your lights ever be off? You are running an auto, correct?
