is this normal during flowering

the plants are 5 weeks since preflowers and now all the branches are stretching out and more space inbetween the buds, very noticible on the top of the colas it grew about 3 inches with hardly and bud on the tip, does that just mean they are gonna get bigger and fill out with bud.

totally normal, called the stretch or push, plant wil double or triple in size once you switch to flower

the plants already did that they are 5 weeks into flowering they were 1 foot tall when i switched to flowering and now there about 4.5 to 5 foot tall

I had the same problem.
I veg'ed under T5 till they were about 7 inches tall, switched to HPS and BANG! Shot up.

Normal. Mendocino Madness grows like a foot at week 4.
