The picture isn't very clear, it could be oxidation, thc looses a carbon chain and becomes CBN. Can happen from long term storage or being stored in a spot with direct sunlight/indoor light. That's my best guess. If it's right it will be more of a narcotic high than energetic.
Or it could bud rot if it's moist.
Can you take more pictures with better resolution and lighting?

I don't want to say yes or no as I have no idea where the bud came from. Still a little hard to tell from the pic.
I've had perfectly fine bud that looked similar, usually where a stem broke off. (If you're referring to that little white spot)
Mold is usually like a foreign thing... you can tell it's there. Like when bread or fruit gets mold, and it "Grows" over the fruit like a white cloud. It will also have a distinct musky, wet, damp smell to it.

How does it smell ?
Was it stored in the dark ?
Brown always worries me if it isn't hairs.
This is 2 pics of stuff that has been jarred for over a year now out of the light, the chlorophyll breaks down and the green fades, the trichomes age and become golden, outside of hairs no brown though.
