Is this MOLD?

Thank you for posting this!! I've been wondering what mold looked like, and I thought it would be obvious to spot, but from your pic, looks like it very difficult to detect! I'm at about week 66 of an auto and I've been recording my RH 3 times a day just because it's borderline high (using the dpcalc.org numbers). Was your humidity too high? Did you suspect that your conditions might cause mold? I'm certainly going to go over my plant again today with the microscope to look closer for something like that. This will be my first harvest, so I can't have mold on my first run...

Sorry this is happening though, I hope you can save a little something.

I'm glad to have found this thread too, found mold myself the other day, one tiny spot on one bud. Chopped the whole bud off immediately and added an extra fan. We checked every inch of every plant with a fine tooth comb immediately and haven't found any more since, so fingers crossed that's the last we'll see of it because if I do find any more, and I'm checking almost constantly, we're just gonna have to harvest early and I really don't want to do that. I fought hard to be able to get them this far, 52 days flower, I want to let them go all the way now.

Yes when mold is in its early stages like this you cannot see it with the naked eye you need microscope as it develops you can see it more easily. Yes my RH was very high cause the last two weeks the temp dropped here like to 59 deg at night and 80 % RH. My damm defhumidfier broke but ordered a new one today to avoid this happening again

Mold.....we all hate it. This is what I do after rain storms since this is usually when we we it. I take 4.5 gallons of water and add .5 gallon of skim milk. I then spray my plans from bottom up then top down. I do this w the hid lights off n leave off for next 2 hours w exhausts on and dehumidifier a on as well.
I know no spraying buds but you do what you have to

Hell I would dry those out mold doesn't like it dry. and that's barely a hairs.

I would probably use a hair dryer on it lol! and blow the mold off with heat.

That's just me , but I am crazy! :D

Come to find out....some suggest Hydrogen Peroxide to kill then use a hair drier to blow dry.

Some others say tear buds apart and see just how bad it is inside.

Mold is very bad for your lungs.Very Bad.

Well maybe boil it all and extract something?

found this....."It's always advisable to not smoke marijuana with mold, however those that are willing to take the risk are advised tobake their marijuana in a oven on 300 degrees for 15 minutes to eliminate some common forms of mold. While on the subject of baking marijuana, it is important to note that most mold is far more dangerous when ingested than inhaled, which means you should be extra careful of mold when putting marijuana into edible treats. Filtering smoke through a water pipe or bong does not prevent you from inhaling mold, although some sources say it can help reduce about 15% of the mold.":

If its such a minor amount like that and not totally saturating the smoke I still think heat can kill the mold.

It does suck though......now you have to make a call and a choice.

If you want to see something interesting look up white mold on cigars and what they do.

Step 1

To make cannabutter like a pro, heat should be applied to the cannabis first to fully activate the THC, a process known as decarboxylation. To decarb your cannabis, heat oven to 240 degrees. Place the plant material in a single layer on a baking sheet with sides. Bake for 40 minutes, turning the sheet a couple of times to ensure even heating. The cannabis will become dry and crumbly. Now you are ready to add it to your butter or oil.......

OR Several Methods!!! :D
