Thanks for the link! That’s a great resource. I visited that website a lot when starting out 6 weeks ago but i must have lost my way like a little lamb reading other conflicting things lol. This seems like a solid strategy to follow. Not letting the coco go below 90% water content would line up with what everyone’s saying here. One thing though, wouldn’t the media being so wet all the time increase the risk of pests settling in, or algae like I was beginning to see in my smaller pot?

I’d estimate that I let them lose about 30% moisture before last feed D:

You may get some on the surface but where there is no light, there wont be any algae. Every garden is at risk of pests
Ahh good point :) there’s not much light getting to the pot now... I just finished reading part one and yoooooooooooo, thanks lads I’m going to take full advantage of the medium I’m using!!! can’t imagine how big she’d be if I had the fertigation on point from the start! Much appreciated for setting me straight!

I had an extremely hard time figuring out coco fertigation when I started. It seems odd to water everyday or even multiple times a day, especially if you've ever grown in soil. As soon as i started feeding daily my plants exploded in growth. :weed:

Thank you! Only been using Canna A+B with white vinegar for ph down lol. I stupidly over pruned 4th 5th and 6th nodes and topped it after tying it down so all growth now originates from the third node. I left it an extra week in veg for a total of 5 weeks from seed. I think I can see pre-flowers starting to come in now. Thinking about splashing out on some pk 13/14 and Boost in a few weeks time but I do want to keep my first grow as simple as possible.
Canna Boost is very expensive but it does amazing things. IMG_20190928_224223644.jpg

Best way to not have to water so often is to run straight Coco skip the perlite. Every other day in 5 gal fab to 10% run off. Better for reuse àlso. I've reused my coco for several runs. Only buy Canna coco better than all for many reasons.
