I'd rather not buy cal/mag for just a few feedings.

I read you can use epson salt to clear up a Magnesium deficiency, If I use epson salt how many teaspoons per gallon?

1 gram per gallon of pure magnesium sulfate (Epsom salts) make sure you get the u.s.p pure Epsom salts with no fragrance or fillers

You are probably going to want to feed this on your water only days at it brings a fair amount of EC.

you don't need to use magnesium. people need to get off of this magnesium kick that keeps going around. I don't know how this got started, but it looks like it won't stop any time soon.

Well since you don't seem informed,I'll clue you in.magnesium sulfate is good for your plants and relatively non toxic even in large doses. The sulphur component is desireable for essential oil and terpene production.Magnesium is heavily consumed during photosynthesis,so that means depending on your lighting you may have to supplement. In any case it won't hurt a damn thing.

Then whats wrong with his plant then?

It got started about 100 years ago and your right..it wont stop soon....

Magnesium is a very important Nutrient and one of the easiest to add, just like Potash is, in fact easier as its nearly impossible to over dose on Magnesium (but you probably dont think that helps the flowering stage either)

Sorry I didn't respond last night. I went and picked up some bud and fell asleep as soon I got home last night.
you probably don't need to use extra fert with happy frog.
Fox Farms products are known for lacking Magnesium and Calcium.

I wouldn't be worried If it was one leaf, but it is 3-5 leaves are showing magnesium deficiency.

Thank you Resinhound! I just needed to know what dosage to give of the epson salt. I will make sure and use Epsom salts (the correct brand) with water and not with nutrients. Thanks for the heads up!!

Just because your product is great, healthy, and gets everyone super-stoned doesn't mean you don't need magnesium. I guess. After reading subsequent posts here.

12 hours after watering with the epsom salt and my plant seems fine... I'm not sure what polishpollack was expecting to happen, it's not like my plants were going to die just because I used a little epsom salt.. I am not the first person to feed my plant epsom salt.

I wasn't expecting anything to happen. what I said was that the discoloration didn't resemble what I've seen of mag def. if you're plant improves after the Epsom, then good for you and perhaps I was wrong and have learned something. but what I've seen of mag def is golden yellow spotting, not leaf edge fade to a pale green. I never said I was expecting plants to die or anything else. all I said was it will be interesting to see the outcome. and that's that.

I searched through the internet for a couple hours before I posted this thread, I was pretty sure it's a slight magnesium deficiency. This is the picture and link to the website I used to confirm magnesium deficient, it doesn't look exactly the same but it is pretty close. I cannot find anything else that it might be.
